Question about Logitech QuickCam Express Web Camera
Never had a problem in 3 years. Great little thing. Now it has been self-activating for the last 3 weeks. 1st week before l installed a further 512mb of RAM and for the last 2 since installation. I have reinstalled it 3 times. Personal opinion is l have a hacker. I have not installed any additional software except Norton 2009. I did have problems with 2008 so Norton installed it free of charge. Geek Squad assured me l have no viruses and all my updates are up to date. When l hear the hard drive activate the camera clicks on and l was initially unable to turn it off. After a lot of frustration and pulling it out of the back of my computer l found that if l went into MSN and activated tools then audio and camera set up that if l clicked none the light would go off, then if l clicked on it again and the light would go back on and upon clicking finish it would stay off. Microsoft recommended checking out the camera first before reporting it to FBI. I also notice increased activity in the processes on programmes that l was not using at the times of the activations. Help!!!! Please tell me that it is just a software conflict or that there is a way to ensure that l can switch off automatic activation and that l do not have a hacker.
If you open the norton product means you can see a firewall just go ahead turn off the firewall, and if its not resolved means open and norton product and run the scan and maku sure you dont have any suspicious vvirus like that and then another step is like uninstall and reinstall the norton product and check still if you are facing the issue ..after that if you are facing the issue means contact your web cam vendor they will help you
