Screen won't come on

Help! I got up this morning and suddenly my screen won't come on. My power lights come on when the on button is pushed and it sounds like it's booting up, but the screen remains totally black.

Bitz m is spot on. Check the device with an external monitor and check possibly the device driver. The only other thing I can think of that could be a simple fix... Look for a tiny button-like object that the screen would close on telling it that you've closed the screen and to dim the screen. If this button is somehow stuck down you would have this problem. If you had autoplay turned on you could pop a cd in and see if it begins to play to know how deep your problem goes. Good luck!

Please try to remove the battery and power laptop on ac. If it still happens, please try to use an external monitor like a PC monitor. If it is okay with the external display, please press on Fn+F5. If it still does not work, it's a hardware problem. Hope this works. Thank you.

Device could not start

what device? is *********** board won't start? Or a hardware doesn't start like ram or your printer
If the problem is your motherboard check all your hardwares and connectors like this:
  1. If the motherboard won't start if you click the power button check the LED(the small light bulb on your motherboard) if its glowing. If not, check the connector of your power supply or check the power supply if its working by looking its fan if revolving.
  2. If you push the button and there's a sign of power but didn't start up that will appear on your screen check the connection of your monitor screen to your desktop computer. If it's connected, remove your RAM from the motherboard and insert it to another memory slot to check if it's broken.
  3. Last, if you push the power button and here 1 short beep but the boot screen didn't appeared from your screen check your graphic card. Remove the graphic card and re-insert it again to its graphic card slot and plug in your monitor connector to it. If it still remain that way, buy a new graphic card.

Garmin Nuvi 350 Calibration Issue

Turn the unit off. Press and hold down the power button and keep holding it. You will see the screen light up and it will say "pre-boot mode". Keep holding down the power key. It will then say "booting". Keep holding the power button down. You'll then come to the calibation screen. Select the dots and you'll be back in business.

ASUS Z91H PUSHED POWER BUTTON BUT WITHOUT DISPLAY

Try pressing the power button and press [del] button. See if it goes to the bios setup page. If it does, have your harddisk checked. It could be corrupt OS or problem with your harddisk.
