Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook
DEAR JAYBEE, I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO LOACATE THE CMOS BATTERY.
Hello, sorry for a very late replay... if your unit is out of warranty there's no use of returning it to your dealer or manufacturer co'z they definitely charge you plus your time to spend in doing so.
locating the cmos battery is not that hard if you have the manual, anyway if you dont have it... there are only few covers at the back of the unit, you need a small philips screwdriver to open it, if you are not familiar with what cmos battery looks like.. it is a rounded metallic looks like a botton (same as the battery of your calculator.) if you found it, it is detachable.. carefully remove it as much as possible using your fingernail only. hang for several minute then place it back exactly before you removed it. good luck!
