I purchased the Linksys adapter. Installed but I cannot make it my; default for internet connection. I also have a D LInk router are they compatible? What do I need to do to make the adapter recognize my router?

The bluetooth adapter will only work with bluetooth devices such as cell phones.  Unless you D Link router has a bluetooth transmitter on it but more than likely it has a wireless G transmitter on it.
Does your computer have a wireless G transmitter?
