Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Try by logging in with the administrator account. You can do this by pressing F8 while windows starts and choosing to boot into Safe Mode. Then select the Administrator account. You can then edit/change user settings once logged in.

If this does not work (like when there's a password assigned to the administrator account as well), your only solution is to do a clean install of windows xp. This is not ideal, though, as you'll lose the data on your drive (for example all files under my documents/pictures/music and the desktop.

Good luck.

XP PASSWORD BREAK

One method of gaining access to the system is by trying hard to remember the forgotten password, or a password of another user which has the same level of administrative rights. However I don't think this approach will help you, otherwise you wouldn't be sitting here reading article, would you?
Another method is by trying to restore a backed up System State (in Windows 2000/XP/2003) or a ERD (in NT 4.0) in which you do remember the password. The problem with doing so is that you'll probably lose all of the recently add users and groups, and all the changed passwords for all of your users since the last backup was made.
A third method might be to install a parallel operating system on a different partition on the same computer, then use a simple trick to gain access to the old syste
Here are 5 of these tools:
  1. SpotMau Password Finder - Simple startup utility resets a forgotten admin or users' password using a familiar Windows-like program interface instead of command-line.
  2. Windows Key - Top rated version of Passware's Windows Key app, supports Windows Vista and RAID/SCSI/SATA drives.
  3. Petter Nordahl-Hagen's Offline NT Password & Registry Editor - A great boot CD/Floppy that can reset the local administrator's password.
  4. Openwall's John the Ripper - Good boot floppy with cracking capabilities.
  5. EBCD – Emergency Boot CD - Bootable CD, intended for system recovery in the case of software or hardware faults.

Forgot admin password to my system.

Emergency Boot CD is a download you can find many places. Burn to CD and then boot off of CD, it has an option to change user passwords, including Administrator.
Here is a link to download
http://www.brothersoft.com/emergency-boot-cd-62611.html
It is FREEWARE meaning you can use all you want and never have to pay.
I actually used the Admin reset functionality. I fix computers for my church, and whoever used the computer last put a admin password on it and then left the church. I was able to reset and get back to a working computer without any problems. Works great.

I forget my password

if you are just wanting tips to help you remember your password, try the following think of something truly random not country name's etc then substitue letters with certain characters ie use the "!" or "1" instead of "i" also remember that the password is case senstive. once you have come up with something sutiable just put the same password but with a different numerical character at the end or beginning every time you wish to change. (note although it makes things really easy if you keep the password the same for all of your applications, it's not good practice to do so!)

to just reset your password numerous applications are able to do just that. the only drawback is if EFS (encrypted file system) has been enabled on the xp system in question, if it has been unless you know the origional password the files that have been encrypted will remain unreadable.

one of the free apps out there can be downloaded from the link below;
http://home.eunet.no/pnordahl/ntpasswd/cd080526.zip

this particular one is an iso image that should be burnt onto a cd. You reboot your computer making sure that boot from cd is permitted. Then follow the prompts to reset your password.

Note from my own experience: You tend to have more sucess when changing the administrator password, if you leave it blank ie no password entered, then from the operating system change the administrator password to something appropirate. ofcourse once this has been done you then change the password of the account in question (again from the operating system) to something that you remember.

more info can be found hear, http://www.petri.co.il/forgot_administrator_password.htm#20 in fact a quick google on this subject should also provide a wealth of info.
PS you should not need to pay for the software as most of it is based on Linux.

I forgot my pc login pass.

Hi

Don't worry my friend...I'm also quite forgetful...Try boot the computer in safe mode by pressing F8(tap repeatedly during start off immediately when its turned on)...and log onto the administrators account...From there go to control panel and select the user accounts option and change your password form there...Also create a reset disk to avoid problems later on when you next forget the password(which i trust you won't :) )

Good Luck

If you are WinXP user indeed you must re-remember the password anyway. It would be the best solution.
Try to remember.if not leave pass some days and try again.Otherwise boot from cdrom with win cd in and setup a fresh win installation to a new directory i.e C:\WINnew.
