HTC G1 no Flash?

Last time I checked, that camera doesn't have a flash.

Are your batteries old or weak? Sounds like the flash is trying to charge but just can't reach full capacity thus preventing the camera from firing.

A stuck shutter is another common failure mode for digital cameras. The symptoms of a stuck or "sticky" shutter are very similar to CCD image sensor failure. The camera may take black pictures (for shutter stuck closed), or the pictures may be very bright and overexposed, especially when taken outdoors (for shutter stuck open).
To confirm a stuck shutter, put the camera in any mode other than "Auto", and turn the flash OFF (you don't want to blind yourself for the next step). Next look down the lens and take a picture. You should see a tiny flicker in the center of the lens as the shutter opens and closes. If no movement is seen, then you likely have a stuck shutter. No, as of yet flash is not supported on the G1. Keep your eye open for 3rd party apps though, new ones become available daily.

Please RESET your camera , go to Menu > Initialize > OK
If problem still exist you need to replace flash unit in camera.

the phone is the HTC Dream. as it was the company HTC Taiwan who manufacture the phone.. the phone is Branded as the T-Mobile G1 because the phone is Unique to the T-Mobile Carrier.

if there is No T-Mobile in Spain, im not sure if you will get it at all ? the 3G band used my the G1 is Unique to T-Mobiles 3G Network

On memory cards there is a slider switch which prevents write access to card.
