SOURCE: REMOTE CONTROL

If you're lucky it will respond to code 10178, if not then you will need a rc64 directv remote and try the proview codes. The proview codes are worthless in any other directv remote other then the rc64 series.

SOURCE: Changing Samsung Remote Codes (2 TV's Same Remote Frequency)

There is NO solution to this problem. I'm an electronics engineer. I have three Samsung TV and IR remote extenders. It is a continual problem. If someone told you could "re-program" the Samsung remote, they must have thought you could write assembly level programming code. There is NO incentive for Samsung to modify their highly popular, simple, cheap remote system.
Believe me, I even tried putting polarizing filters over the IR sensors but the ones for cameras do not polarize light at IR frequencies.

How to change batteries on VIZIO internet qwerty remote control

Get yourself a thin flat-head screwdriver find the logo on the bottom side of the remote that says "Vizio" You will see the edge of the battery compartment, use your flat-head screwdriver and carefully find that edge, right below the word VIZIO, use your scerwdriver underthe "V" and under the "O" stick your screddriver in and gently push up on these 2 spots till the cover pops, then slowly remove, so you don't break the little parts holding on the cover..

Vizio remote won't control tv

I just had the same problem. I call Vizio and this is what they had me do that did fix the problem.
1. Unplug the TV
2. Hold down the power button on the TV for 30 seconds (yes, with it unplugged and do not plug it back in yet.)
3. Take the batteries out of the remote.
4. Press each button remote twice to ensure that they bounce back and are not stuck.
5. Place new batteries into the remote.
6. Plug the TV back in. Not into a power strip if possible. ( I did not have an available outlet so I used a power strip.)
7. Try turning the TV on using the remote. (My TV turned on. All of the functions worked - problem fixed.)
Hope that this helps.

Hello there! this is Kimberly Escobar with Dish Network customer support, just ran across your post and wanted to provide you with with information that will be helpful to you. To program your remote to your Vizio T.V you can try using some of the codes we have available that help the remote control functions of your T.V itself. For the Vizio brand one of the codes is 505. what you will need to do is press and hold the clear T.V button located on the upper left hand corner of your remote until all the other top buttons begin to light up, once they light up you let go of clear T.V button and enter the number 505 followed by the pound key (#) as soon as you press pound you will see the clear T.V button flash 3 times. You can can your volume or turning off and on the T.V it should work. For further assistance you should also find this link very helpful http://www.dishnetwork.com/SupportSection/remote-setup as well as contacting us directly. Hope this helps!

Hello, my name is Becki Barned, with Dish Network customer service. To get your tv to work those particular functions, you will need to reprogram the remote to the tv, finding a code that works all functions of the tv. Some codes will work the power and volume, but not the other functions. Try these steps:

1. Hold down the TV mode button until all lights at the top of the remote are lit up
2. Press the 3 digit code in
3. Press the pound button
4. Press the SAT button on the top left of the remote.

Here are the codes to try:
505
671
627
864
006

Hope this helps!
