I am having the same problem. Wish I would have purchased the extended warranty. It will not spin the water off. Then does not seem to know what to do so it just keeps filling up with more water. Even on the spin cycle. My clothes used to come out soaking wet. Now they are coming out covered with soap. Any ideas?

I had the exact same problem and discovered the filter was totally clogged with junk. You need to take off the front panel and remove the filter to clean it out. You will find a mess of items...rocks, coins, hair clips...you name it! Once I cleaned that filter, the water drained just fine and everything was back to normal. Now I just make sure to clean the filter once a month.

Not spining and water not draining

Access the water pump and look for plugged drain hoses or a plugged filter as well as a slipping impeller on the pump shaft--or even a dead pump motor. Spin usually will not occur if there is a high water level in the machine. Try draining the tub into a bucket, then see if it will go into spin mode. Hope this helps!

The spine cycle seem slow need to run more then once

check the tub to pump and pump to drain for blockages of debris, the pump should drain the bulk of the water, then it should spin out the rest unless the belt is that glazed, get to the spin cycle and pull out the washer drain hose out of the house drain stand pipe and see how much force water is while being pumped out while just pumping and not spinning, there should be the water stream the size of the inside of the drain hose and good velocity of water flow to the drain

Whirlpool will not spin out water

With it spinining fully it may be as simple as a sock or undergarment in the pump, if it is not spining fully the motor coupler is probably in need of replacement

Excess water in clothes after spin cycle

Unblock the outflow pipe from the machine that goes into the sump under the sink. (have a pot ready for water overflow) This will help drain the water. If the spin cycle is making a screetching sort of noise then it is possible that the carbon brushes will need changing. This affects the spinning if the brushes are worn.

Washing machine doesnt seem to be draining or spining properly

Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too.

If it is same as in photo (Frigidaire built) your drain pump is probably blocked/jammed. You have small children?? Kids socks seem to find their way to the pump often.....
