Continuous playback of files

I don't know how to get a continuous playback of recorded files. After downloading onto my computer each file playsback individually which is really annoying.

After shooting over an hour of continuous video in FHD, numerous files are recorded but when I edit the files together, there are holes between the files.

I am having the same problem. Even when I use the supplied software w/the GZ-HD7 it still skips when you join the continued clips. I'm going to record some stuff tonight and see if I can "playback" on my PC through RealPlayer and see if it will capture/stream it for me. Other than that, I haven't been able to locate anything on the web that resolves this "BIG" issue for those of us who want to record say someone speaking (I use for our church) and make a DVD of the speaking. Who wants a DVD that skips ....

Me also, ok lets say that i already converted the tod files using powerdierctor express, i have converted already to mpeg, mpg. i have noticed that when i already starts editing my mpg clips, its looks like the video output is not good.

i found a secret or solution, about tod files, powerdirector5 express can't read it or open it right. lol, so funny, JVC budled this cyberlink softwares that can't relly help so much for editing movies, ok, copy first your movie from your hd7 using powercinema to your pc (TOD files). then use nero 9, for editing and fixing your movie it can read the tod files, and can play smoothly, not like powerexpress even do i have converted already the tod files to mpg, not smooth and the video output was not good,

ok thats what i found, the problem is im lacking transitions at nero, wew.

Download a program called handbrake here
Install with default settings.
With the disc in your computer and Handbrake running, click FILE, OPEN SOURCE.
Select the DVD in the list shown.
It should automatically show that it has selected the longest title on the disc. Probably the only title.
Select a destination for the file it creates
Choose the iphone or ipod touch profile, even if it's just for playback on your computer.
Click the RIP button the estimated time may be off by a few minutes depending on the speed of your computer.
When Handbrake finished, exit and play the movie on your computer
Congratulations new Mom & Dad!

I downloaded a .msf file from a Sony audio recorder. Please advice how I could playback this audio .msf file.

Hi!

It seems like you've downloaded the wrong files...
As mentioned at Sony's FAQ:
MSGLIST.MSF is a file that contains information such as the order of folders, playback order of audio files and recording date and time. If user connects the recorder to the computer, the MSGLIST.MSF files are displayed but do not delete or change these files. If these files are operated, the saved files may be broken or the recorder may not work correctly.

The right way to copy your recordings is explained here...

If you are satisfied, rate my solution with 4 "thumbs" or (even better) add a testimonial.

Good luck and Best regards,
Pelu.

Cannot save video from vcr

Save should be continuous and automatic when 'Record's pressed. The file is ended and closed when 'Stop' is pressed. The configuration setup tells where the file is to be stored; if no setup was made, it would most likely be in 'my documents' folder. The files are .mpeg types.

Kodak Zi8 Digital HD Camera playback problem

I hope uploading new firmware would improve the quality of your recording: Connect the camera with the computer.
Turn the camera on.
Click onto the link and follow the instructions.
http://wwwuk.kodak.com/global/mul/service/downloads/DownloadLookup.jhtml?pq-path=15372/15504&product=EKN036561

If it can be of any help I did manage to find information on how can I eliminate noise during video recording on the Zi8:
Turn off Continuous AF (auto focus) to prevent recording camera noise during video capture. When you turn off Continuous AF, you may notice a narrower area of focus or depth of field, especially if you zoomed to a telephoto position before recording.
  1. Turn the Mode dial to Video, then press the Menu button.
  2. Highlight the Continuous AF menu, then press the OK button.
  3. Highlight Off or Single AF (certain models), then press the OK button. (On is the default.)
  4. Press the Menu button to turn off the menu screen.
This setting remains until you change it, change the Mode dial, or turn off the camera.

Good luck I hope one or both solutions will help the problem

Playback on camcorder

Hi,

Have you tried to play the video files through your PC?

With the SD card inserted into a card reader, i woul dsuggest you right click on the '?' files and click 'properties' and look for the file type as it has obviously changed.

When you find the file type, you will need to download the appropriate software to view it.

I know that VLC media player (google it, free software) id an excellent media player and supports many formats.

I hope this helps a little.

Compress file from the library to burn onto a CD

You can convert the file to mp3 so that the size of the file would decrease to around 150MB so that you can burn it on a CD. First copy it onto your computer and then use the software below to do it

Too many files to handle

On the camcorder there is a function that allows you to create a play-list. This play-list group your recording into one file allowing for continuous playback (BUT... the original files cannot be deleted or the playlist will be deleted as well) burn a dvd from the playlist. Automatic grouping doesn't happen automatically on 20003-2008 JVC model camcorders. You would have to do this after you have finished you recordings. Another option is while using the software that comes with the camcorder this allows you to import what files you what to save and group it that way by the date. There is no need to edit if you don't want to.

Dowloading audio files onto my computer..

I have an Olympus recorder. I don't know if the software is similar but their software has a way of copying the files to folders in the software. These files can then be used in other audio programs such as ITunes if you want to transfer it to your Ipod or audio recording software so that you can drag and drop them into one file.

If you look in the folder where your voice manage software is, is there a folder where the audio files are being stored within the program?
