1984 > 1994 > 2004 > 2008 = ?; YOU are wondering WHAT? With the new tech of today and HD coming in spring of 2009, I think it is time you look for a new TV. Please give it a good resting place.
Good Luck, big IRISH.

The tuner module is bad and would have to be replaced, the other concern is video 1 and 2 are now becoming snowy, at this point I would suggest replacing the tv set because there are two separate issues and the cost to repair in my view would not be cost effective, cheaper in the long run to buy new tv.
Sounds like DRY JOINTS WITHIN DFS MODULE.
This is a pcb within a rectangular metal screened box on the left hand side of set when looking from the front.
Will need resoldering be carefull very fine print will need decent soldering iron with fine tip & poss magnyfying lamp to aid looking.
If your not at all sure take to repair shop.
This TV is nice set has one of the best crt pictures you can get.
The model you listed, F27650 uses the new ATC113 series chassis, which is only about 3 years old. The ATC113 chassis is not known to have snowy issues, but if yours is then I would suspect that a solder joint is loose in the tuner. If your set is actually around 9 years old, then it might perhaps have the notorious CTC175 - CTC187 series chassis, which went snowy all the time due to cracked solder joints on the shield grounds around the tuner and microprocessor. In either case, some good quality resoldering should cure your trouble. If you have never done fine solder work on PC boards with small surface-mount parts, allow a qualified tech to handle it for you.
the fault you are describing sounds like what we in the trade call dry joints, basically where components are soldered into the circuit boards in manufacturing, the joints become brittle and crack thus forming a poor connection which can vary with heat. well worth repair may need a couple of electrolytics aswell but i could do the job myself safely for under £100.
Set has a bad vertical sweep IC. Also This Sanyo has a tendancy , when the IC blows out , to take the fusable resistor in the sweeo supply that feeds the vertical IC. This set should only be serviced by a trained technician because of ther high Voltage that lingers within. This repair should run you antwhere from 85.00 to 150 bucks. Good Luck
