Have 2 verifone 3750 credit card machines. both will not work. You perform transaction, they process and the paper moves a little and the green light starts blinking. The only way to get it to go to full green you must unplug power and replug.
You try transaction again, it starts to move paper and quits and the green light starts blinking again.

This problem could have multiple causes. It sounds like you are receiving a settlement error, which are specific to each merchant services provider. You will have to call the merchant services provider so that they can look up the error message on their end and tell you what is causing the error. For example, the error message that you would receive if you use First Data would be different than the message you would get if you used Bank of America. Your terminal will not let you run any more cards until you resolve the settlement error. This is to prevent you from continuing to run cards in a corrupted batch, or a duplicate batch.
Yes he is somewhat correct. At the main sale screen hit the option 6 usually the password is 1 Alpha Alpha 66831 if it gets you to the Terminal Phone COMMs screen it is good. Choose phone then next and choose PBX code that is what needs to be dialed out from your phone system to get an outside line IE: 9,,8,... once that is edited choose enter then exit if that doesnt work at teh main screen hit the more key or the tip key until you see other setup then the password again. 1 ALPHA ALPHA 66831 hit the tip or more key again until you see COMMS. Select it then hit next until you see baud rate hit edit and that field and then next until you see 300 hit enter then exit save changes hit ok then the red X key to get back to the sale screen try that.
There are two parts to this problem: 1) actually processing transactions, and 2) all the cards "out in the wild".
Prairie Trail Software sells host software that can process the transactions for you. It would be a custom solution.
However to get the data on all those existing cards will be the problem. You will need to get reports from your current processor that give you all the data about those cards in the wild. If you can not get those reports, then you are not able to transfer all those existing cards (and histories and account balances). In that case, you would need to replace those cards and run side by side until you can get most of them replaced.
I do not have a pictur eor video but it is not difficult. Open printer door, place paper in printer with the paper coming out towards the keys of the terminal from underneath the roll. Pull slacked paper over keys of terminal and shut printer door.

Your processor should be able to essentially blow out the memory on the terminal. From their a dummy program can be loaded to finish wiping out any residual memory. Lastly, you will need to do a completely new core load with your actual file build. The process takes much longer than normal due to the multiple core loads but it is effective. If your processor is not familiar with this or is unable, I would be more than happy to take over your services but am unable to solicit on this site. So, feel free to email me with any questions you may have at CJepson@federal-financial.com. Hope this helps.
