Our Toshiba regza is also hooked up through HDMI cables to our digital cable box, and just recently we started having the same problem:  the margins of the image seemed to be cut off, as if the image were zoomed in slightly too much.  None of the picsizes seems to correct this.  The best setting seems to be Native, but nevertheless it crops off the outer edges.

yeah, me too. Worked perfectly for months, now the image is slightly shifted to the left and I get a thin green line along the right side of the screen when set to "native". I can make it go away with other settings, but at the expense of losing more of the picture off the edge of the frame.

SOURCE: Tv picture not all showing up

this is like the conversion Ic's that is for projection tv's, but different for an lcd or plasma tv , it will need to go to the shop where they can order the board to correct this problem. these boards are not available to the public. you can try to replace any components on the video processing board that are bad , like electrolitic caps , surface mount resistors , diodes , but if it is a surface mount chip then you will need the whole board , because thats the only way to get it

Toshiba REGZA won't play DVD. Shows "disc loading" then goes to wide screen mode, but then ejects the disc. Whats up?

Sounds like the laser pickup unit to the DVD player is faulty. Contact any service technician to replace it. The disc mechanism should be taken out of it to replace this part.

Look up your user manual, it sounds like your zoom feature has been activated to the max. I have a Zenith backlit LCD TV and it has a zoom feature you control from your remote. You could open up your on screen menu and find the place to reset the TV to factory settings that should clear up the problem.

50hz not supported on Regza 26HL47?

You should have no problem displaying a 60hz 720 format as that is what this TV is based upon or a maximum of a 1080i 60hz picture. The TV will not support a 1080p or anything trying to feed it a 24 fps picture such as a blue ray player set for that mode. If you connected a standard video signal to a component connection on the TV, yes it will work but as you saw it will be in black and white. With the correct component connector for the Wii I believe the maximum it can be set for is 480p (DVD quality) which is much better than 480i (standard TV). If the picture is stretched out too much check the TV setting by using the FORMAT button on the Toshiba remote to change aspect ratios IE: WIDE, ZOOM, STANDARD etc..The other settings you want to check is in the Wii control panel. It probably asks you the type of television you are connected to such as 4:3 or a 16:9. You will want to set it for 16:9 wide-screen and if the setting is there you want to set it for 480p or 720p if the Wiii has that capability.
