Question about Cameras
I have an fujifilms3000 camera. Purchased an olympus m2gb memory card. Took pictures with camera. Trying to download pictures (lost cord for camera/computer connection). Used an xD-SmC adapter SMC Interface card on laptop to download all my pictures on the Fujifilm xd memory card. Tried to download pictures on my olympus m2gb card and it doesn't want to recognize it. When I get it up actually come up on screen, it displays a folder and when I click on it it shows one icon with the word downloading on it. My machine then indicates an error report and will not download picture.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Be sure you have formatted the card, not the internal memory (if the camera has that).
Be sure your battery is fully charged, so that the device can fuly write the file.
Be sure you are writing the file to the card, and not the internal memory, as there may not be enough space on it to write the file.
If this does not resolve the problem, let me know.

Just had the same issue today. The Olympus Helpdesk told me that the fact I had printed one of the picture from the Xd card in directly inserting the card in the printer slot for Xd created the problem....
The guy from the Helpdesk strongly recommended to transfer the pictures from the camera to the computer exclusively using the USB cable of the camera.
In the end I have saved all my 505 pictures in using the Smart Recovery from PC Inspector but why the hell this problem only happens with Xd cards?

First things first - need to make sure that the card is making proper electrical contact with the camera. Have a look at the contacts at the edge of the card and make sure they are spotlessly clean - even a fingerprint may cause problems.
Also, make sure the contacts in the camera have nothing causing a contact problem, and see if this resolves the issue.

Yes, you can use the XD M+2GB card in your camera. The M+ card is a faster one. The following website gives you more on it.
"The Type M+ xD-Picture card is compatible with the Type M card in all cameras and is 1.5 times faster than the Type M card. The increase in speed may be useful in sequential shooting of digital stills and in the recording of high-density video with Olympus cameras."
