Question about Mitsubishi WT-46809 46" Rear Projection Television
I downloaded a manual and we have sparks coming from the FBT. Not even sure what FBT stands for. Can this be fixed? If so, can we do it and where to get the part, or do we need to take it to a repair shop. Don't want a huge repair bill - when a new TV is about the same.
If the sparks are coming from the flyback transformer then it needs to be replaced. You would need to be able to use a meter to determine if more damage has been done or not. Let me know If you can use a meter and i will give you some stuff to check. If you take this to a repair shop you can bet on $400-$600 for repair.
