But the light with light up at that point you have a swollen capacitor and would have to take it apart and replace it which most people are not savy enough to do. Throw it away get another

Monitor SAMSUNG 961BF does not turn on no picture?

  1. Verify that the power cord and Monitor cable are securely connected and not damaged. Unplug and replug these cords back in and test functionality.
  2. If the monitor still ceases to function, you may have a bad board, lcd screen, or inverter.
  3. I recommend replacing the monitor unless you are familiar with testing and replacing electronic boards and LCD screens.

Hi, my BenQ FP72G 17 inch LCD Monitor keeps auto-adjusting every 5 seconds and every now and then it will turn itself off and later go on again. Any help ?

Make sure the cables are in well with a good amount of slack, it can cause a problem if your power cable or computer to monitor cable is loose

Where does it go? what does it look like.

heres the proview site http://www.proview.com/Product/Product_Sub-category.aspx?ii=212
I suspect it uses a kettle type plug - that looks like this https://www.cashgenerator.co.uk/_images/product-details/BE991.jpg and the connector looks like this http://acimg.auctivacommerce.com/imgdata/0/1/2/8/8/9/webimg/1310841_t.jpg See what you have on the back of the monitor - if it does look like that connector - those cables are avaibable at most store - what country are you in ?

Monitor keeps going off and on. All cords seem

ALL LCD monitors have a thermal protection circuit that turns the monitor off when it is overheated. LCD monitors do not have air circulating fans, so dust buildup is a problem. If your monitor is still under warranty, Please contact your retailer or Samsung at samsung.com/support. If it is out of warranty, you can try to repair it youtself. The steps to follow are:
1. Fold a large bath towel in half and put it on a table.
2. Disconnect the monitor from everything.
3. Remove all cables from the monitor
4. Place the monitor face down on the towel.
5. Remove the four VESA mounting screws that hold the desk mount to the rear of the monitor.
6. Remove ALL of the Phillips head screws from the rear of the monitor.
7. Use a thin bladed tool to release all of the plastic catches that secure the rear cover to the front cover of the monitor.
8. Use a small brush and a hose type vacuum cleaner to remove all of the accumulated dust from the chassis.
9. Put everything back together by reversing steps 7-2.
power it up and see if this corrects the problem.
10. Do not block any ventilation holes in the case.

Need a power cord I think my wife tossed it???

You can buy a regular power cord at the store such as wal-mart, staples, bestbuys. Most monitors have a standard power cable, similar to that of the computers.
