Sorry to hear about your bad luck! Be carefull if this is a crt based tv you could get shocked messing with the wrong wires. If you send me a few pictures of the back of the set i will help you locate where they belong.

I have a vizio vp50 hdtv20a. A while back we turned it on no picture and it started to smoke. After reading a little about it I decided to take off back panel and see if I could locate burnt part. Could...

That board directly connects to the display panel---you may have a bad display panel which if is the case is fatal---panel alone will cost more than the set did when new----seen this before in the shop where I repair sets.

I need help putting my nikon s220 digital camera back together

Oh boy!!! I did the same thing once in 1964 on a Nikon F lens. I took away one important lesson from that experience; even the simplest looking lens or camera is mechanically complicated with interlocking parts. In my case, the camera repair man told me that the bill would have been $35 (that is about $150 in today's dollars) if I had not tried to fix it myself. It cost almost $100 to have him put everything back together again. At this point, anything you do will only make things worse. I would gather all the parts together and get an estimate from a qualified camera repair man or from the Nikon USA Repair Depot shown on there website. I hate to say it, but on an amateur camera you may find that the cost of repair will exceed the cost of a new camera. Good luck.

Shark steammop will not make steam

If your unit is heating up but not making steam.
And If your unit is not to clogged up to much! CLR or vinegar in the tank (pump a few times) and letting it sit over night may help. But it didn't work for me.
So I decided to take the entire thing apart, I mean everything! I don't recommend doing this, it was not easy to get back together and I'm a repair man. I cleaned all the mineral deposits from the heater using sand paper, it was that built up with deposits. Any deposits left behind will surely clog it up again. I unscrewed the small valve on the heater and used a small hat pin to Polk out all the mineral deposits that build up in the valve and the tap it was screwed into. The valve is where the steam comes out. I now could get air to flow through the valve. So I put it all back together. 2 1/2 hours later and it worked. Let me say, it was not fun putting this thing back together. So if you use tap water it will clog up the workings. Distilled Water will not leave minerals behind to clog it up. Hope this helps.

It stopped working. This happened a few months

The wire your asking about is a ground wire. Without knowing the make or model fridge you have I would not know what it would go to. If it went to the timer, it might have been the problem the whole time. The fan is not the reason the unit froze up. The problem is in the defrost. You either have a bad timer, the ground off the timer or a bad heater. If you will respond back with a make and model number I'll be glad to look it up in my data base. You can email me at and I'll be glad to help you so that you will not have to pay $175.00 for nothing again.

Blue and green bulbs look like they have sawdust in them

Tubes need to be removed from set. Take off front lens with 4 screws, then remove the glass circle. Has a gasket, becareful. Do this over a sink. The fluid is a clear anti-freeze. Clean inside with Formula 409 and paper towel. Rinse with water and dry. There is a plastic expantion chamber on the side. Pull that out and clean it too. Put the tube back together. Note where the wingnut was when you took it apart and oriantate the lens to go in the same way. You can use a turkey baster to refill the tube through the expantion chamber opening. Fill it up as much as possable. Put chamber back on. Put tube face down for awhile and check for leaks. That round gasket can be reused sometimes, but check it first. Then put it back together and that's it. You'll have to unplug the board on the end of tube and the ground wires. Then unplug 2 seperate for the yoke and the other for the convergace. Make sure you mark the wires you take off and the way the tube came out. Everything must go back the same way it came out. Fluid can be purchased at Only need to do blue and green. Red never goes bad. Do one at a time. That's about it.
