How can I replace fuel gauge?

You did not post the year make and model but the fuel sender unit is in the tank and it can be dangerous and laborious to replace. You have to drain the tank, unhook fill tubes, lower the tank, unhook the fuel lines (takes special tools) remove the cover, replace the unit, replace the seal, put the cover back, put the lines back, put the fill tubes back. This might mean using a jack to raise and lower it and all the time not cause an explosion or fire. It is not a one person job.

Got a smoker with instructions but it does not say where to put the wood shavings?

Is it charcoal or propane? If charcoal, you can either use a metal smoke box or place the soaked chips directly on the coals. If it is gas, the metal smoke box is the route to go. If one did not come with the grill, they are readily available at most big box hardware stores (Lowe's, Home Depot, etc) for a reasonable price. An easy substitute for a metal smoke box is making a single use one with aluminum foil. Take a sheet of foil and fold it in half, place your chips in the pocket, seal the edges by foling them over, use a knife and cut a few small slits on one side of the foil, place foil pack on fire (slits on the top side). Discard after use. Works well with wood chips or herbs such as rosemary and thyme.

Why would I use artificial wood decorations in my aquarium? I can just get small wooden pieces for free in my yard.

The wood from your yard may possibly release toxins in your tank that will hurt your fish. Artificial wood is a great option. Not only does it look nice in the tank, but it is easy to clean and will last a very long time.

Can I make my own fish food dispenser for my tank? I really don't want to spend more money on my fish.

You can try making your own. But make sure you try it out for a few days before you go away just in case there is a problem.

Chain saw won't keep running. runs and stalls

Hi there, Sounds like you need to change the fuel filter.Use a piece of tie wire with hook on one end and fish out the plastic tube with the fuel filter on the end. Hemostats can be used also.Use a turkey baster to **** the gas and trash out of the tank.then pour in a pack of BB'S cover hole and shake the saw. This will loosen any stuck trash and when you put some gas back in it will come out with the turkey baster. The next step is buy a spray can Berrymans carburetor cleaner (any carb cleaner will do.) I recommend saftey glass's for next step.Stick the carburetor cleaner nozzle straw in the tank tube and press the saw trigger like you were going to cut wood, spray cleaner and open and close saw trigger 4 or5 times. If you do this with the carburetor filter off, place a clean rag over the carburetor. When you think it's clean hold the trigger open until the cleaner dries and then install gas tank filter. Now spray carburetor and linkage on the outside.Install clean filter and cover. With new gas&oil mix in tank You should be set to go.If this is not the right solution please post again.Thank You for choosing FixYa.

GAS GAUGE NEVER READS FULL AFTER FILL UP. IS THIS SOMETHING I CAN DO ON MY OWN TO FIX.

There is, but it is not worth the work involved. Purchase a replacement gage and install it. This of course involves removing the fuel tank. Frankly, I'd rather go to the dentist. Drain the fuel, mash your fingers, get dirt in your eyes, risk dangerous explosions, waste an otherwise beautiful Saturday and possibly the weekend, risk damaged components and for what? So it will read full instead of almost full?

Expect to pay $40.00 or more for the device. Tools you will need? Pliers, screw driver, floor jack, bumper jack (what ever your car uses to change a tire), and jack stands. Never get under a car supported only by the jack you use to change the tire. Hammer, mallet, sockets, handles and extensions - preferably 'explosion proof' you you have access, and of course a nice dry, well ventilated place to work. You should run your tank as low as you can so you will not have to handle a large quantity of fuel. You will need buckets. You may need to repair wires and hoses - be prepared to run to the parts store for these incidentals. Loosen the filler tube and pry it off of the tank - try not to damage it. Catch the fuel. Put the floor jack under the tank with a large piece of plywood on top of the lift area. Jack the wood into position firmly against the tank. Loosen and remove the straps. Slowly lower the tank - watch for spilling fuel. Once the tank is on the ground, disconnect the hoses and wires on the top of the tank - pull the tank out. Remove the inspection cover which is also the access to the sender and unit and probably the fuel pump. Since you are doing all this stuff, you may want to change the pump and filter, if any. You will need at least a foot of distance under your wheels so you can get up under the car to work on the top of the tank. Reverse the process of course to reinstall the tank.

I have worked on five tanks ... I will not do number six, I don't care the cost.

Good luck to you if you take this on.

Thanks for your question @ FixYa.com

I have a Woods refrigerator that is all fridge, no freezer compartment. Model # RFA17NAC. s/n 07605297JG. It is leaking water on the inside of the fridge and collects on the fridge floor. No manual came...

Hi Linda. We have the identical model of Woods all-fridge and
experienced this problem several times over the course of several
months. Hopefully this is still timely.

The short answer is that the clear flexible-plastic drain tube that runs
from the inside rear of the fridge down to the catch tray (underneath
the cabinet, next to the floor, behind the kick-plate) is sufficiently
plugged (with some kind of gunk, probably from a spill inside the
fridge) to cause a back-up. I suppose the inner diameter of the tube is
maybe 3/16" so it can easily get clogged. Consequently, the water runs
down the inside back of the fridge & eventually ends up in the
depressions below the crispers. In our case, after those depressions
filled (and I hadn\'t noticed), the water would run out onto the floor.

Initially, I used a fine wire to poke some of the gunk out of the tube
but I didn\'t get it all out. Just enuff to let some of the water get
thru, but the tube would plug up again. After a few repeats of the
problem, separated by a month or 2 each time, I decided a more "drastic"
tube cleaning was required.

I suppose a good strong compressed air blast might clear the tube
completely, but I didn\'t have that available so I had to use a
semi-flexible wire & sorta gunk out the tube. It\'s been about 1.5
yrs. since that more thorough tube cleaning & the problem hasn\'t
come back, so I think the tube got plugged from a spill in the fridge
(which thankfully hasn\'t re-occurred... yet).

BTW, I don\'t have the manual either, but the lower part of the tubing is
accessible from behind the fridge. I didn\'t pull it completely out
(which might have disconnected it from its fitting), I simply reamed it
out while it was in-place.

Hope this has been of some help to you.

How do i replace the tube in my projection tv

Good Day, pinky91,
Replacing a tube is easy, remove cabinet front and back, to get to top of crt's & cables, unplug all cables to defective tube, yoke, convergence cables, anode, crt socket.
The biggest concern should be installing the new tube. Ater replacing the tube it must aligned, not easy. It takes an experienced Tech about 2 to 2.5 hours to perform this repair.
Good Luck, big IRISH. P.S. I would recommend to have a professional to perform this.
