IF you put PUK code many times depending on the model it wil lock the sim card. This is because to prevent unathorised person using your SIM card.
Default PIN code for nokia mobile is 0000
PUK code will be given by the service provider only.
Please call your service provider or go to service provider office, they will assist you in this issue. And they will have a security check like name,Phone number and other information to check weather the SIM card belongs to you only. Then they will assit you.
When you put a new or an existing sim card from another phone provider into your mobile phone and it ask for a restriction code, it means the phone is locked to the original mobile phone provider. You need to contact this mobile phone provider to ask for the unlock code (security code) for the phone. In doing this, you need to provide your proof of ownership and your phone's imei number which can be found under the battery, and the number will be used to generate the unlock code for the phone and how to unlock it.
Contact your cellular service provider and have it provide you with a new SIM card. Let it know your account and phone number so that it can transfer your phone service to the new SIM card.
Check the manual that came with your phone to see if the SIM card is found in the standard location beneath the battery or if it's located somewhere else.
Turn your phone over and remove the back plate by pushing down on the slide panel and sliding it away from you. Remove the plate and then put your finger in between the battery and the side wall. Push the battery away and pull it out of the phone.
See if the SIM card has a metal covering. Remove the covering if there is one present and then pull the SIM card out.
Place the new SIM card in the card holder and then snap back down the metal covering. Make sure to place the card in the same direction as the old card or your phone will not be able to read it. Put the battery back in and then place the back panel back on. Power on your phone to ensure that the SIM is working properly.
WARNING Do not enter in any codes if the phone asks for a "PUK" or "SIM lock" code. Contact your cellular provider immediately and request the code because if you enter in an incorrect code, your SIM card will permanently deactivate itself.
You enter the PUK code, when the SIM has been locked by too many attempts at entering the PIN code for the SIM.
When the PUK code is needed, the phone will specifically ask you to enter it. If you want to trigger the PUK code request, enter the PIN code for the SIM card incorrectly a few times. There is no key press codes to trigger the PUK code prompt.
Each PUK code is specific to each SIM card, and has nothing to do with the phone itself.
And the PUK code is also not related to the phone security/lock code (the default for the security/lock code on the phone is 12345 on Nokia phones).
