With the TV off, use the TV remote to press the "?" Button and then enter 9876 and then the enter button. The three lights on the front panel will flash, indicating the lamp counter is reset.

Long story short: The blue fog problse is the light engine. Specificaly, the filter for the blue LCD gets to hot and over time starts to burn up and disinigrate. (I just tore my set apart thinking maybe it was the blue panel and found this was indeed the culprit for this problem). As far as a solution? You will either need to replace the light engine (expensive) or replace the light filter which means tearing the thing completely apart. then there is the problem of where to get a replacement filter. Does ANYONE know where? As far as the lamp goes, might be time to replace it. You might be better off just getting rid of that TV and get a new one.

SOURCE: My lamp inicator flashes red

Okay this tells me something is getting hot and forced shutdown so I would check and see if fans are obstucted, and there RPMs are up to par.

But when in doubt always call the manufacture as they know to whom to take it to for a repair.

Something is causeing this to turn off and its mostlikly the heat,

Can i use a rca universal remote to reset the lamp timer on my Zenith D60WLCD 60" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television? I have lost the original remote and have replaced the bulb

Probably not. You need to get into the "utilities" menu, which is only accessible via the original remote (or possibly via buttons on the TV).

I have a Zenith D60WLCD, I have replaced the lamp and it still will not power up. I there something I need to reset.

You need to reset the lamp counter if it reaches 16,000 hours. The tv will not turn on once this limit is reached. With the tv remote, and the tv off, push the ? Button on the remote, then 9876, then push the enter button. The three lights on the front panel will flash indicating the counter has reset.
