Blue Flickering Screen - Which Repair Kit?

I have the blue flickering screen issue... which after reading other posts... seems to be a swollen capacitor issue.

Can someone explain to me which repair kit I would need to purchase from

They list 3 kits:
V26 DLP Signal PCB Repair Kit

Mitsubishi V26 DLP power PWB Repair Kit
V26 DLP FMT PWB repair Kit

Which would I need to get?
(Also, im told that they have a service manual with the kit correct?)

Yeah, I dont know which one it is.

I still have a blue screen, and I can actually see the TV Menu (although its very shrunk and flickering in the middle of the screen).

Also, I've noticed 2 other things... once the menu options dissappear, the screen is all blue, with some white hortizonal sections in the middle (kinda looks like a white sunrise over the horizon thing)

One other thing... when the tv initially starts up, and before it goes blue, it starts off as a dark screen with some white show going across the middle.

I guess worst case scenario is that I go with one, and get the service manual, and if im wrong, just buy the other kit? I do kinda hope to get it right the first time though, cause i hate watching tv on my old tube!

    Any more help appreciated! Thanks!

2 swollen capacitors on the power supply (first board you can see on the chassis when you start to dissassemble) big caps... 3300 uf... 16v i think. these caps can also induce a 3.4 code (lamp error) and all around **** picture. fmt failures can range from black and white checkerboard pattern on the screen to wavy lines over the picture and also the blinking green light. DM failures I've seen include the blinking green light , wavy lines, and weird digital failures like horizontal bars green blocks or the picture being cut in odd places.

also when you hear that the failure is caused by the capacitors (blinking green light mainly) the culprit is not only the bulged caps. This is why you can change all the caps on the boards and still not have a working tv. its about 80 surface mount caps across both the fmt and dm. techs, look at your replacement boards and notice the darker print on the 47uf caps. good luck trying to change them it takes me about 3 hours to do both boards and about 45 dollars worh of caps.

Yes they provide a free service manual with their kits. the symptom of the blue screen could either be the signal or the FMT as they can both cause those symptoms, My professional guess would be the signal board as the FMT will cause distortion lines across the screen with no picture.

If the lines are slightly curved and stationary on about 2/3 of the screen its either the Blue CRT or the Blue CRT drive board which is having the problem.

Blue screen with flickering horizontal lines

Sounds like the 1000uf capacitors on the FMT board need replacing. This is a common symptom with that chassis. There are three 1000uf caps that fail on that PC Board

JVC AV-60D501 I belive it is a 60" full screen projection tv for the last few months the picture has been flickering, Flickering like a VHS with bad tracking. It does this in all imputs, from cable imput...

From what you're describing your focus block is probably failing JVC p/n#129P059050. It's probably also very vibration sensitive. They're about $80.00 dollars and they are also interchangeable with the Mitsubishi focus pack p/n#920p016010. Not a difficult repair - we do about 5-6 a month. Real easy in-home repair. Hope this helps. Bill
