Picture dowloaded screwed my u740.

Since it does not stay on for any length of time, there is very little you can do. Can you dial *#7370# during this time. If yes then do it. It will reset your phone to factory defaults which would be better than reinstalling the firmware that is the next course of action if this fails. Yes, you will loose all data including the contacts and msgs etc in both cases.

Well this phone does not support screen saver feature.

you may however install additional software.

go to galleries ,select graphics & then screen saver .from here u will get screen saver provided by & if u want ur file as screen saver ,go to that picture open it , open options->use image->set as screen saver

Check your multimedia message settings for your SMS/MMS app. Check to see if its set to only download a certain limit. You might be set to something less than 1 MB. Can you receive normal text messages?

hi! Goto setting switch ON the bluetooth! install the bluetooth devices to the computer! insert the device in the computer! pair the mobile and computer!select the pictures and send through via bluetooth! and finaly u transfer mobile picture to the computer!

I used to have this phone and it caught on fire and gave me that error. I would try resetting the phone, and as a last restore, a hard reset (meaning all contact and settings information is lost).

Let me elaborate. On your phone press the:

1. Menu--scroll to Tools & Settings---press OK
2. Look for Security, press OK
3. Enter the last 4 digits of your phone #, or whatever you set the lock code to.
4. There should be an option to delete contacts. Becareful not to press the Reset Default option, for it will erase everything (ringtones, pix, filx, screensavers, etc..)

**If the Security option is not seen in the Tools and Settings, then choose Call Settings or Phone Settings. It should be in one of these.

go to vzam.net to dowload the latest software. you may also need windows media player 10. also you can only download unprotected files, meaning a lot of itunes for example wouldnt work.

James121 is not correct. In this case, with the Samsun sch-u740, the screws are simple small philips screws. Its also pretty tough to get the cover off. you also have to deal with alot of wires to replace the lcd, including soldering the speaker back to the lcd. this is not recommended for 99% of people.
