NEED WIRING DIAGRAM

If you are referring to installation and have the aftermarket wiring harness, The wires should be color coded. RED, YELLOW, & BLACK are power, ignition and ground. These should correspond to matching wires on the back of the head unit (CD player). Match the colored wires from the back of the unit to the same colored wires on the aftermarket harness and then connect them using wire connectors/wire nuts. Once you have them into the correct order the aftermarket harness should connect into the harness in your vehicle. I hope this answers your question =)

I am trying to locate the wire harness for apioneer deh-p6400

you can buy one at the pioneer website in accessories parts. but if you are talking about a wiring harness that wires directly into the existing wiring harness for the car then you can get one of those at any local car audio shop. or walmart sells them cheap.

Problems with Metra METRA PR01-0001 PIONEER 16-PIN UNIVERSAL WIRING HARNESS?which wires are which

I don't know what pins are what on the METRA harness, but the wires coming from the back of the Pioneer unit should be:

black ground
red accessory (KEY)
yellow memory constant power,
blue is remote,
orange is for the dimmer,
green with black is left rear neg.and green is positive,
violet black is right rear negative and violet is positive,
white is left front positive and white with black is negative,
gray black is right front negative and gray is positive.

If you don't have the pioneer harness (and so these wire colors dont' mean much to you) just message back here, and I'll map those wire colors to pin positions on the back of the unit.

Hello randscates,

Here's a link to the manual. The wiring color code for the supplied harness is on page 78. The diagram is rotated 90 degrees clockwise. I recommend that you download the PDF and print out the page you need.

Hope this helps.

Not Working

My only suggestion is to check your wiring.
Be positive your accessory wire [red wire] is hooked up to the correct wire from your car's wiring harness.
To be positive this is the problem, connect both the red and yellow wires [accessory and battery] coming from your head unit to the battery wire from the car's harness temporarily.
Do not, however, leave your head unit wired this way. It will never shut off and drain your battery.
If your head unit still does not turn on, and you say the fuse is good, you most likely have a bad head unit.
Most head units now have a fuse in the back next to the wiring harness as well.
Don't forget to check that one as well, in case you missed it.

No sound

It could be that the wires in the harness that go to speaker from stereo are not connecting to the leads on the stereo. If this is the case the wires to speakers are not connecting, but the wires from the power source are still good. Try taking the harness out of the back of the stereo that connects all the wires to the leads. Hopefully your wiring is labeled from the factory. If it is it might say "Left front speaker". Isolate this wire and wiggle it inside the harness back and forth. If it moves even a 1/16 of an inch it may be that the leads are not connecting. You can try jerryrigging it by shoving something in their in hopes that it will hold it in place. You may need to replace the harness.
