Model is ES300 with another number of P/N 316417121 (06/05)
    Does that make sense?

The range was purchased with the new house (already installed). We are not sure where the developer/builder purchased it. It was purchased in the states.

    Model Number: model # FGF366ECC

    Thank you.

I have had the same problem. My oven is only 7 mos old, model # FGFLMC55GCC. The fumes and smoke from cleaning it set my fire alarm off, the fumes made me sick. The repairman stated that it caught fire under the bottom, there was a small spill that may have went into the vent on each side of the oven.

Same here I just bought my home about 5 months ago. Builder had picked out appliances...My oven has caught on fire twice & the dishwasher it makes these really weird very loud noises you can't hold a conversation in the kitchen while it runs...I think it will break soon there is a website you may want to check out www.frigidairesucks.com

because there is more then just the oven catching on fire read the post sorry to say I think we are screwed unless builder will replace with other

    appliances.

    Regards,

    Christine

Yorkbill,
Wecome to fixya,
Huuum at your service.

You said, your self-cleaning oven (Frigidaire) caught fire while cleaning.
Any recalls on this problem? Stove was purchased about one and a half years ago.

Please give me the model number so I may check for recalls!

If you attempted to clean the oven with drippings or heavy food on the bottom of the oven from spills,
then you can have a small fire in the oven .
But it will burn out.
The user guides all tell the reader that if you drip or spill food in the oven to first, "wipe out loose soil to reduce smoke and avoid damage!"

    Model Number: model # FGF366ECC
is a consumer reports best buy and a great range that I sell all day long.
There was no recall for this and I never heard of the fire in the oven, except if there was a large spill in the oven. Then we need to clean away the stuff first so it will not catch fire while doing the self clean ing for hours!
Was this the case where the oven caught fire during the self cleaning process?
The appliances made before 2006 had the old warranty, which was longer and better thatn today.
Did you call frigidaire and tell them it almost burned down your house????
This can get some sparks burning under their rears!
They are pretty good about taking care of their customers with fixes and swaps even after warranty is up!
    tell me the complete story!
And I have a phone number for "Consumer Affairs" at frigidaire or Electrolux, who owns frigidaire.
It's Friday 9am hear on the east coast and i'll be at my store at 12 noon and I'll get you the number and or call for you!
If you give me the serial # and your name and address an tel number.
I am a dealer and can get them to do more for my customers than the average buyer!

You know what email me at ngfam1@hotmail.com so you do not have to post your personal stuff on line and with this info I'll try to get them to fix or replace or get you money towards a replacement.
I would not be surprised it they take the bull by the horns and they give us some results!

You will need to replace the element, If it was just the lower bake element, it is a very easy repair, two screws and two wire connectors. UNPLUG the stove FIRST!!

Yesterday I heard a loud pop from inside the stove. Frigidaire smooth top professional series just about 5 years old. Looked inside and my parchment paper had caught on fire which had never happned before...

Is this an oven or the cook top?

A blown oven element is possible. You may still be able to bake but the oven will seem to take forever to warm up. An easy check would be to crank the heat up full bore and put your hand near the top then the bottom. You should feel more intense heat the nearer you get to a working element.

Frigidaire electric stove keeps beeping

IF IT HAS A MECHANICAL CLOCK, THE START AND STOP TIMES NEED TO BE SET, THE OVEN CONTROL SET TO CLEAN, AND THE SELECTOR SWITCH SET TO CLEAN.
TO CLEAN NOW SET START TIME TO THE TIME ON THE CLOCK AND THE STOP TIME TO 3 HOURS LATER.
LOCK THE DOOR. IT SHOULD START AND THE CLEAN LIGHT SHOULD ILLUMINATE, OR OVEN ON LAMP SHOULD LIGHT.
IF IT STILL DOESN'T WORK, THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE CLOCK OR THE CONTROLS OR THE LOCK ASSEMBLY.
A WIRING DIAGRAM WOULD BE BEST FOR DIAGNOSING THE PROBLEM.

Ignitors keep firing by themselves after my aunt cleaned them 24 hours ago After she did the major cleaning of the stove I used the oven and it worked fine. I lit a burner (Probably front?) and the left...

You have water left over from cleaning and it is shorting out the igniters at the knobs, not the burners. I guess the solution is to wait until it dries out unless you can open the top and maybe use a hair dryer.
