I have a 2003 chevy silverado.I drove it to work no problems cpme out at lunch started it up and was missing very bad . when I got off work started it and missing still.

I have replaced the folling with new parts. Fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, crank sensor and cam position sensor. I had recently fueled it up before problem started. It has spark and used noids to check fuel injcteors to see if they are geting pulse and it has spark and pulse to injectors. it will start and run if and while you are spraying starting fluid and seems to not miss or anything on it but when stop using starting fluid it dies . I have spent about $550.00 dollars so far on new parts. Pease help if you have any ideas this has me baffled

What is the specific fuel pressure as measured with a fuel pressure gauge?

Is there a check engine light on?

i have not put gauge on it but spays hard from shrader valve . i have had 2 codes one generic 0300 which is random misfire and 2nd code after clearing it was low oxygen from mass air but it was while running on starting fluid

Do you remember what the specific second code was?

Have you checked the MAF sensor to see if it dirty.

Does your code reader have the ability to look at live data?

Dont rmeber specics but it was low airfrom mass air sensor I have cleared it again I saturated air filter with gas then put breather box back together. I started ran good will it was pulling gas or vapor from fiter not check engine lite came on during this time. It is like it just isn't getting gas or that the gas it is getting is watered down

Hello! There is a Technical Service Bulletin that addresses the symptoms your Silverado is experiencing. The Electronic Control Module (ECM) may have lost it's ground connection due to rust and corrosion...It attaches to the right side cylinder head (either in the front or the rear depending on which engine is installed in the vehicle) ***Note; When requesting assistance please include engine size...Lets make sure this ground connection is clean bare metal attaching to same...
Make sure the MAF is clean...Spray with electronic contact cleaner which leaves no residue...Also replace air filter (unless you already have)...After the ECM ground issue is cleared and the problem still exists, I'll take it from there...Guru...saailer

The battery starter and alternator would only affect cranking.
Someone will need to find out if it is spark or fuel related to know which system to inspect.

2003 chevy silverado, fuel gauge started registere...

Common problem on the 03-06 Silverado instrument clusters for the fuel gauge to go out. It's usually caused by one of two main problems, either the stepper motor on the cluster's circuit board is going out or the sending unit on the fuel pump is going out.
