Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
we just downloaded last night the latest Ps3 software and PS3 seemed to be working fine. However after the update we decided to download a demo game and as it was taking so long decided to just leave it downloading.
Came back later and now the PS3 has no output signal ( according to the tv) we currently have it hooked up with HDMI, have just tried adifferent cable and also the video cable to no avail.
Ps3 turns on etc, and Green & blue lights come on and then nothing.
Any ideas please??
PS3 is The amazing device by sony but it has some common problems like sound , video problem etc.... Good news is that these all problems can be repaired with the help of DIY Guides, one such guide available at PS3 Repair Blog

Hello. There are a few causes for this. I will list acouple solutions for you.
1. Reset the Video Output Settings. While the PLAYSTATION 3 system is in standby mode (red light on the front of the system), hold down the touch-sensitive On/Off button on the front of the system until the system goes into standby mode again . (So the light cycle would go from: red light to --> green light --> then back to red light) This will ensure that you have held down the On/Off button long enough to reset the Video Output Settings. Once you turn it back on, it should work fine.
2. If option 1 does not work call Sony because the video out chip has blown or come unsoldered.
I hope this helps. Good luck to you.
