Is there a way to disable the Bluetooth and WiFi at an administrative level?
We are using the MC9090-G (RFID) on a military installation that will not allow WiFi or Bluetooth technology to be active. I know how to disable them, but Security is afraid that one of the operators will enable these options at will. Is there a way to disable these options...either by an admin setting or removing a driver or file that's required to make them work?

Install a program called symbol appcenter and you can keep people from accessing anything you do not want them to access, I have it installed on mine for an inventory system and all my employees can access is the inventory system. As the administartor I have the password if I need to access anything else in the scanner to ake changes, but nobody else can.

Hello sburrell. By reset to default, do you mean reinstall the Operating System and completely start over? If so, just contact Motorola/Symbol or the vendor you purchased the unit from and get the exact Operating System type and version for your MC9090. Then you can download the correct OS installer from Motorola/Symbol. The packages come with a "readme.txt" that will instruct you on how to install the OS. I hope this helps. Good luck!
