To Tim Nolan or anyone who is able to assist me
    ====================================

I have a Mitsubishi WD-52825 with lamp light solid red. I have replaced
with a new bulb and when tv is turned on, the red light came back on
after 2-3 min. I've checked and rechecked all the connection of the
lamp housing and don't believe there is anything wrong.

If it is a problem with the capacitors on the power supply board, could
you please kindly walk me through it? I do have a multimeter and know
    how to use solder.

FYI, I've spent more than $1,500 on this unit last year to fix various
problems including replacing entire power supply board. I really can't
spent anymore on it and would greatly appreciate any help/assistance
    you could extend.

    Thanks in advance,

    Wilson

Most commonly this is caused by a faulty power supply, more specifically 2 capacitors in the power supply. If you know how to use a meter and solder let me know and i will walk you through the repair. Otherwise service is needed and the repair should runn you $300-$500 depending on your area.

Now that i type that i did remember one more thing that can cause this. I would take the lamp out and look to make sure the connectors that it plugs into are not broken, sometimes when a new lamp goes in it doesnt line up right and brake the connectors.

Let me know!

Mitsubishi wd 60735 dlp tv red lamp light

A common issue and it may be your problem is dust and dirt inside the unit---the set intakes air from the front and exhausts it out the rear==I have seen several of these sets where removing rear cover and taking stthe set outside and blowing it with a air compressor clears the issue.

Fans and other critical items that get clogged or coated with a moderate amount of dust will cause this issue.

Posted a short while ago but have more information Mitsubishi DLP WD 52725 - sound no picture - blinks 3 short times and 1 long time

have you checked the lamp? with those models they will power up and if the lamp is bad you can hear audio until the tv shuts off. the lamp is located in the front behind the speaker grill assembly. if the "status" light is blinking then you are having a fan failure if the "lamp" light is on then check the lamp like i listed above.

Failed caps on the power supply will cause that. The V26 Power pwb repair kit will usually correct that issue. Its available from www.tvrepairworld.com the kit contains the capacitors and the CD with instructions.

Did your replace lamp come on the screen or did you lose picture? Just because the LED indicator suggest replace lamp it doesn't mean it needs it. If your pix was dull or loss of brightness then replace it, if not then just reset your lamp timer, check your owners manual for instructions.
