Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

Signal is lost when sending txts and calls

So I've been having this problem on and off with my Razr V3m, Verizon provider. Randomly I will be trying to send a text or call and the signal will go to no bars and it will just sit there 'sending' the text/call but ultimately it will fail or just not do anything. Once it happens the signal really never comes back, and it isn't like I don't have reception, because I know that I should. The only way I've been able to get my signal back and the ability to call/text is by taking the battery out for a little bit, putting it back, and turning it back on. Sometimes the first time will do it, but others I have to take the battery out multiple times (like 5-10 times) and keep trying to get the call/text through. Its really irritating because it always seems to happen when a quick response is needed. I have tried the Master reset or clear, whichever one doesn't erase your contacts and it didn't help at all. Any other suggestions? Thank you very much!

Actually, it has done the same thing while on the charger, so that shouldn't be it, but I will clean the terminals anyway :P I just tried calling star 228, but it keeps telling me that 'activation failed' I will keep trying it however, maybe it will make it through.

    any other thoughts?

    Hello again,

I just tried the star 228 once more. I checking out what the preferred roaming list is and this and that, and saw that I should pick choice '2'. I didn't hear it ask, but I pressed '2' anyway and it did the update. So we'll see if it works! I hope so. Thank you again for the help!

This could be a problem of a weak or worn out battery. perhaps, the next time the problem persists, you could use the phones charger while making a text/call. another option is to check the battery terminals for dirt or other contaminants and clean accordingly. also, have you tried updating the PRL? this refers to the preferred roaming list. dont know why its called that, but it may update the software of the phone. do this by calling star 228, that is, the star button, then 228, then send. I worked in a verizon call center years ago and this is how the phone software was updated. good luck

My inbox on my razor phone says no messages but memory full

I mentioned this in another area. We just got my son a motorola razr v3m, verizon. Any time he tried to check his inbox (which is text) or tried to send a text it would show memory full....this was the same if he tried to take a picture and send it.

First take out your battery, with the battery out, hold down you on button for like 15 seconds to drain the phone of juice, then put your battery back in it and turn it on. If this did not reset your phone, and if you are on verizon as your carrier, then you need to call them and make sure that they have you set up on their text messaging program. It used to be that if you didn't have, then they would charge you .20 cents a text, but with some of the razr, such as the v3m, you have to actually be on a monthly text plan to view inbox, send text, send pics, and receive pics and texts.

This is an issue with the switch/routing system with your carrier and they are the only people that can correct it. Call *611 and speak with tech support, this is easily resolved. Dont settle for less than resolved when you call them. Call from a phone other than that cell.

Motorola Razer V3M Won't start

It may be a software problem. Similar thing happened to my LG Chocolate from Verizon. I found out that certain Verizon stores can perform an update on certain phones. Maybe Sprint has a similar software update. You can call your service provider and ask.

I cant use blutooth to transfer files to other mobiles

My friend, Verizon is the worst company that makes bluetooth useless, The reason why this is? is because Verizon has its V cast music going, so they disable verizon phones to be able to transfer music or pictures phone to phone via blue tooth, this sucks i know, i dont think u can even put music using motorola phone tools as verizon phones has a totally different interface,
