Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3
So I've been having this problem on and off with my Razr V3m, Verizon provider. Randomly I will be trying to send a text or call and the signal will go to no bars and it will just sit there 'sending' the text/call but ultimately it will fail or just not do anything. Once it happens the signal really never comes back, and it isn't like I don't have reception, because I know that I should. The only way I've been able to get my signal back and the ability to call/text is by taking the battery out for a little bit, putting it back, and turning it back on. Sometimes the first time will do it, but others I have to take the battery out multiple times (like 5-10 times) and keep trying to get the call/text through. Its really irritating because it always seems to happen when a quick response is needed. I have tried the Master reset or clear, whichever one doesn't erase your contacts and it didn't help at all. Any other suggestions? Thank you very much!
This could be a problem of a weak or worn out battery. perhaps, the next time the problem persists, you could use the phones charger while making a text/call. another option is to check the battery terminals for dirt or other contaminants and clean accordingly. also, have you tried updating the PRL? this refers to the preferred roaming list. dont know why its called that, but it may update the software of the phone. do this by calling star 228, that is, the star button, then 228, then send. I worked in a verizon call center years ago and this is how the phone software was updated. good luck
