Hello
Enter Menu and suf through, display parential control options screen.
Here you can select Audio Only or Audio OFF. It is the last option in thate menu window. OK.

    No luck, I went into the parental control menu and did not see any options to tern off audio. I'm attempting to use my external Bose speakers but can't turn off the TV speakers. Any other ideas?

    According to the user manual of your tV, there is option to control the audio. You may ahve the user manual with you now. Go to its page [18]. Proceedings and display otions are there. OK.

Pull out the headphone jack from the socket. Or if nothing in there, go to Settings / Sound and look for the setting for Sound Bars and turning internal sound off and on.

If you go into the menu their should be an option for audio/sound once you enter that sub-menu there should be an option for the speaker internal/external or speaker on/off.

some of these sets do not have internal speakers. If they have red and black connectors on the back marked speaker out it has external speakers. that being said, if yours has internal speakers go to the set up menu and fallow down to audio. IT will be found there. SPEAKERS ON /OFF

Turn the speakers to ON
No I am not using a hdmi input. This problem exists within the unit itself. I am unable to manually turn on the Televisions internal speakers. they are currently set to off and are not highlighted within the menu to be able to turn them back on. I hope this helps. thank you!
