How is the printer connected to the PC, USB? Parallel? If USB, try inserting a flash drive or other USB device , to see if the port is working. If the port does not see the device, go to the control panel and remove the USB ports and restart the computer. The try your printer.

I got a new toshiba lap top and installed my printer to the lap top. the printer connects to my lap top and everything. But when I try to print...it does not print and says zero documents pending. HELP...
Right click on printer and take its properties, and click on advance tab. from there you will see options. spool print documents, kindly select print directly to printer.

your problem is that your missing drivers thats why its not seeing it. you can get the drivers from here if you donot have a disk with the needed drivers

hello! do you have the cd that came with the machine? if so you should be able to set up the lap top, also check to see if the printer has check matk beside it as the default printer. this would be in printer set up on the lap top good luck brother sr tech

I have a Lexmark Printer x3500 and I have it hooked to my computer with Window Vista and would like to us it also on my Lap Top hp pavilion ze5300. It is telling me it can not down load this soft ware...
use a print hub..so that each computer can see that printer from its own operating system..linksys makes a good one. linksys dot com

HP812C and/or Epson LX300+ dot matrix Printers installed to a HP V3431 lap top computer would not print.
Download the latest drivers from the manufacturer websites rather then relaying on the old cdroms - they are probarbly outdated and made for XP.
