I have a Netgear DG834Gv33. I had it conected to the computer for a while then took it off an put the Takltalk modem on instead. I now want to reinstall it and it keeps throwing up "There is a problem with the DNS". Yet when I put back the Talktalk modem there is no problem at all

Well you can put the netgear and try to call your ISP (internet provider) and ask them to register MAC address.

that should solve the issue.

I ordered a wireless router so I can hook up my PS3. My computer is not compatible with wifi so I thought I'd just leave it hooked up to the modem. The instructions tell me to put the CD into my computer...


You have to use the computer to insert the CD

As your computer is not wireless compatible, you can have this connected to the router itself on the wired connections and use PS3 on wireless
Do NOT connect your computer to modem and also Netgear to modem.
Either one of them won't work. Instead connect modem to Netgear and computer to Netgear with an ethernet cable.
After this type of connection is made, try to setup the router with the CD inserted into computer.

This is how things work!

How to connect Netgear to Time Warner internet modem? I have Netgear installed on my computer, and I have the internet modem plugged in to my computer.


Just disconnect the ethernet cable from the computer and put it into the slot called internet on the router then run ehernet cable from port 1 to computer.
