I have the same problem, also with the HP G6000. I think my headphone jack and/or contacts are damaged... I know it may sound weird, but try blowing into the headphone socket. Sometimes works for me.

Well since the external speakers are working then the problem is with the internal speakers and thats a hardware issue so they need to be replaced if you have warranty then take it in to be fixed nothing else can be done

Cant hear anything.

right click on speaker icon, select play back devices, a box will appear and show the devices that are present, if there is more than one, click on the one that has no green check mark on it. Click set as default and try again. Also make sure nothing is muted.

External speakers won't work on HP T5570e Thin Client

Try to use earphones, plug them in to phone audio connector....
try if it works..... if so, disconnect them and plug speakers.... and try again.... if doesn't work, go to audio advanced setup and check if speakers are not muted, or set up voicevolume level is too low. Play with that setup....

Also some computers can turn on or off speakers in Bios.

If problem will not be solved, try to use USB speakers

To disable internal speaker in hp6000 pc

The internal speaker should be disabled when you plug in external speakers.
If not go to Start > Control Panel > Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices
> Pick a task.......>Change the speaker settings >Audio tab.

[ Note* An internal speaker can be used for the BIOS Beep Codes. If it is this speaker should not be disabled.
BIOS Beep Codes are the way the computer tells you something is wrong, and an area to look into, for it ]

if you go to the bios (restart computer and press del to go to setup) you should be able to look around and find the option for internal speaker. Set that option to disable and do not change anything else unless you know your way around. Save it and restart afterwards and it should disable the internal speakers.

No sound when i connect my dx2300 to external audio amplifier or other external sound system but internal speakers are o.k and working! why is this Mesh In nairobi Kenya

If the Internal speakers are working fine that means your Sound card and settings are fine. Just check the Cable, pin and the port you are plugging it into. Or else try connecting a headset on the sound card port to diagnose clearly.

External speakers don't work but internal speaker works fine.

Try your speakers on another system to make sure speakers are working.

Make sure volume control on PC is not set on mute.

Make sure onboard sound is enabled in BIOS

Try re-installing the sound card driver.

If all this fails and you have a spare slot on your PC just purchase a new sound card for about $10.00 or so.
