Bissel Power Steamer Pro

Good Day,
The front cover where the dirty water get sucked out was cloged so, I took out the 2 screws removed the cover (easily) and cleaned it out. During this process I noticed the 'flap arm' which opens and closes when you switch from 'floor to tools' was broke. It came out simply. Can I get this part?
Thanks

Yes you can but it would require taking the entire hood of to replace it ( it hooks on inside there ) but those machines need to be opened very carefully and you need to make sure several pieces are back a certain way, so i would take it to an authorized bissell repair center, go to there website and put in your zip code to find the closest one to you.

Hoover steam vac deep cleaner not ucking up

Hi! If your cleaner is not picking up this could mean that something is not sealed off properly. Try these brief trouble-shooting steps to restore suction to your SteamVac.

1. Remove the clean water tank.

2. Recline the handle and let the cleaner lay flat.

3. Remove the dirty water tank lid.

4. Reposition the front panel located on the outside of the tank in the center. It should be flush to the tank, even straight across and pushed down as far as it will go.

5. Assemble the dirty water tank lid back on from the front to the back. The lid should not lift up from the front.
Give it a try! The suction should be restored. Hope this helps!

I let someone use the cleaner, and it came back dirty. How to I clean the front plastic where the water pulls the dirty water through. It is day and filthy. Help

There are three screws that hold the clear plastic cover in place. Turn the machine over and remove the two silver colored screws at the outer edges of the cover. To remove the third screw, remove the dirty water tank, and you will see a screw at the top center. After the screws are out it should be easy to pull the cover off for cleaning.

How do i remove the hood for cleaning out debris?

there should be three screws on this unit to remove the clear plastic hood.

first, remove the dirty water container, there will be one screw there to remove. It should be rather long.

next turn the machine over, there will be 2 more screws under the corners of the front of the machine (you can see the threads through the plastic on the top) remove the two screws.

Now comes the tricky part. Turn the machine back over so that its the right side up again, you will want to pull away from the machine and up, kind of like you are going to bend the plastic up. Once you have that done the entire cover will come off.

Good luck,
Mark

Wont suction the water

the suction channel is probably clogged.the suction channel goes right up the middle ,you can see it by looking through the cover.probably a lot of hair and dirt stuck up inside.there are some screws on the botton you need to take out then the cover will come off.seperate the 2 pieces of plastic and you will be able to clean the channel.please leave feedback

My bissell powerbrush won't **** up the water

had same problem - carpet soaked with dirty water and very little, if any, cleaning fluid used. Easily remedied. Removed water resevoir and found that the rectangular shaped washer at the top of the front cover (the bit you had unscrewed to give a good clean) had become dislodged. It has small lugs on either size which lock on to the plastic opening when pushed down firmly. Resevoir then sits on top and makes full connection, also ensure that grey locking handle is fully pushed down.

Seemed to me that the water wasn't being sucked up as there was air getting in and this has down the trick. Sorry if this is difficult to follow but all will become clear when you look for the black washer! Good luck

Hoover turbine replacement

first you must remove the dirty water tank then the nozzle window on top of the machine. (this is the clear piece that the dirty water is sucked through.) then remove all 8 screws from the bottom along with the 1 screw on the main housing. after all this the top housing will be snapped into the base at two spots in the rear of the upper housing. when these are loose the housing should be out. you will find the turbine in the front along with 2 more screws and 2 hoses that also must come off. attach new part and reassemble.
good luck!!!

Hoover SteamVac Dual V Carpet Cleaner # F7410-900

"I did some research online and the recurrent theme was a bad turbine assembly. Fortunately I was able to fix this myself which took about 2 hours (some reading) and little effort. The problem was with the turbine which is fairly simple and had a bearing that had rusted and froze up. Removing the cover proved to be more difficult than fixing the stuck bearing. This was mostly due to figuring out the correct screws to remove and finally discovering that the back of the cover (over the wheels) is not secured by fasteners but by pegs that "pop" out.

Once I had the brush assembly and Cover removed the turbine came out with the removal of some obvious screws and gently pulling the hoses from the assembly. After carefully opening the assembly housing I discovered the bearing problem and with a little lubrication and some new grease had it working in short order. Putting everything back together was simple as well."

this worked for me. although once i got in i just had to mess around with the gears and loosen them up. getting in was the hard part soo here you go peoples.

take off tanks

unscrew 6 screws fom underneath machine. look carefully

just underneath where the dirty tank goes right by the part that sucks everything up is a screw. unscrew it

pop off the switch for your spin scrub mode. it pops right back on.

make sure your locks for the tank are turned in

then the back just pops off. you might have to give it a good tug. there are no screws although it maight look like there is.

then pull off the grey part.

once inside it is pretty easy.

but if you have any questionbs email at lostnhisblueyes@aol.com

i took off so many more screws than i needed to to get this figured out so dont do that.

HOOVER SPINSCRUB WONT SUCK UP WATER...BLOWING AIR OUT

ITS THE DUCT PIECE ON THE FRONT OF THE DIRTY WATER TANK (DWT). ITS NOT LINED UP.
1. TAKE LID OFF OF DWT
2. SLIDE THE LITTLE SQUARE PIECE (5'X5'X1) (THE DUCT) ON THE FRONT OF THE DWT AS FAR UP AS POSSIBLE AND IF IT BENDS FORWARD FROM THE TOP, DO THAT TOO (SOME MODELS OPEN LIKE A DOOR TOP DOWN, OTHERS JUST SLIDE UP AND OUT COMPLETELY)
3. SLIDE THAT DUCT BACK DOWN AS FAR DOWN AND BACK AS IT WILL GO.
4. PUT THE LID BACK ON BY HINGING THE FRONT LATCHES ON AND THEN SNAPPING THE BACK SIDE DOWN.
5. CHECK TO SEE IF THAT DUCT PIECE ON THE FRONT IS LOOSE BY PUSHING ON IT AND SEEING IF IT MOVES UP AND DOWN.
IF IT IS, THE LID ISNT COMPLETELY ON, GO BACK TO STEP 4.
IF THE DUCT IS SNUG, CONGRATS YOU SHOULD HAVE JUST MADE YOUR STEAM VAC **** UP THE WATER AGAIN
