once we finished the installation we can activate with the existing product key If you will get error message like "you exceed number of installation" while trying to activate you need to contact the Norton support to reset the installation count.
Download the Windows Install clean-up utility from the Microsoft site, Install it, run it and select the Norton 2008 product and un install it. Reboot, then try your installation again.

Try uninstalling Norton by going to programs then look for its folder...there should be an uninstall icon then click to run...if you can not find it try the following: 1. click start button 2. click control panel 3. double click Programs and Features 3. look for norton, then double click to uninstall program....
You will need to cancel your Norton subscription and use one of their products that is suitable for Vista.
