Hiii robert!! I didn't mean my external speakers. I meant internal speakers. Even though i enable mute option in volume control the speaker is keep on blasting! I could bale to disable both the speakers and headphones at the same time. I cannot able to disable speakers alone!

Built in speakers not working

Are you using external speakers? or internal?

EXTERNAL SPEAKERS: If your are plugging speakers into your headphone jack and they dont play, but you plug headphones into the same port and they work fine.. then it is the external speakers.

INTERNAL SPEAKERS: But if you are using the speakers in the laptop, then your speakers are probably bad. Try some software settings, but probly just bad speakers. Could also be that the speaker cord inside the laptop came unplugged from the motherboard. In which case you would have to take the laptop apart and plug it back into the motherboard.

Good Luck.

The compaq nx 6110 is a business class laptop, depending on where you purchased the laptop it may not have the correct set of drivers loaded, Go to Compaqs support page for that model laptop and make sure you have all the correct drivers

Voice in both headphone and laptop speaker so its worthless to us

hi!
You need to adjust a little bit lower in your master volume settings for the microphone. including the master volume.
You can find it at the buttom navigation bar If your're using windows XP. Try to adjust the settings. Your headphone had a mic therefore u need to test it until such time ur speakers will not echo.....

Please reply so that we can diagnose a better option.

HEAD PHONE AND LAPTOP SPKEAKERS BOTH ARE WORKING SAME TIME

Hi,

On the bottom of your laptop there is a sticker from the maker indicating your model version, as there are about five different versions of the Presario 700 series. I need to know what that model version is to get you compatible sound drivers to install or install again. This should fix your problem, and if it doesn't you have a mechanical malfunction in the headphone jack, which when a plug is inserted should disable your speakers.

Regards,
Worldvet
