Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console
When I try to play a game, my xbox stops loading the game and starts to make some weird noises.
I had this same problem on my 360, the disc drive is very sensitive to dust, cig. smoke, pet hair, etc... so i took the case off, took out the disc drive, and opened up the disc drive and cleaned the little lazer optic thing(looks just like what reads a cd in a cd player) very gently with a q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol, and used some canned air to blow all the dust and pet hair off of all of the internal parts, not only disc drive but fans, heat sinks, mother board etc. then put it all back together and tried it out and presto, good as new!! two months later and it still reads all discs first try every time. no more opening and closing the tray for twenty mins. till it reads the game disc!! Try this out if your warranty is over!!(this will void the warranty) Worked for me and saved me a bundle!!!

It has happened to me twice and unfortunately the only way to solve it is sending the device to msoft. You can do this either through the phone or using the xbox.com site.
The second time it happened to me the machine was out the warranty, they offer me to pay 87 € to fix it and extended the warranty for an extra year after it.
At the end when I send it the second time they just sent me a refurbished one to avoid the problem to happen in the future.

I rang microsoft today about it and they said i would have to sent it away to be repaired. If any of you do want to ring microsoft the number will be on the back of the getting started manual. They will ask for your serial number (its located on the back of your console where the wreless adapter is) and they will also ask you, your contact details and other details aswell

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
