Is it possible that my camera did not come with an ac output? I have checked under the hood of everything and my manual says it is optional? However it really does not make sense that it would not have one..

Sometimes the AC output connection is covered by a plastic cover. Just peel back the cover and you will see a Firewire type connection more then likely.

What is the model number of the Camera?

It is possibly, but pretty rare for it not to come with a ac output.

Also, I know some cameras use certain kinds of batteries. Like Panasonic us OxiRide batteries. You can also try the rechargeables just get a strong higher rated rechargeable.

Are the connections that are metal inside the battery area rusted / corroded?

After reading the reviews it does not come standard with AC Output. Also it does not recommend using any special batteries, just AA's.

Sorry couldn't be much more of a help.

Advent laptop will not turn on

Test your battery on another similar laptop or use a known good working battery just to help rule the batter out. If it does not power ON using AC adapter, it could be something on the motherboard or your AC adapter. I suggest you first check the output of your AC adapter using a multimeter. The voltage reading you get should equal the one on the adapter's label.

Also check DC connection (where output jack of adapter plugs into the laptop) as sometimes it breaks and does not make contact with the motherboard.

And lastly may be you can try a power drain... remove the battery and unplug ac adapter. Press and hole power ON button for 30secs at least. Put back the battery and plug back AC. Power ON as normal.

My Kodak Easyshare V1233 will only power up when plugged into the wall charger. Even after staying on the charger it will not power on unless plugged in.

Kodak has 3 types of charger that can be connected to a wall socket
USB AC Adapter - is especially useful when traveling, away from your computer, or just plain on-the-go. Connect your camera's USB cable to the adapter and plug it into a wall outlet to conveniently charge your camera.
5V AC Adapter - Provides in-camera charging for all KODAK EASYSHARE M and V Series Digital Cameras
Input: AC 100-240 V 50/60 Hz Output : DC 5.0 V
3V AC Adapter - Provides direct power to your camera but it will not charge the camera battery
Input: AC 100-240 V 50/60 Hz Output : DC 3.0 V

* You need to check the type of adapter your using. If your using the 5V AC adapter or USB adapter and the camera won't charge the battery contact kodak support line 1 800 235 6325 (23KODAK) for possible repair.

How do i know if my battery is being charged in my camera

The AC adapter does not affect the battery in any way. You use the AC adapter as an alternate power source to power the camera. In order to charge the battery you need to remove it from the camera and use the charger that came with the camera.

Camera lense

There is a very very easy way to fix this problem..

This can happen if...
1.) If the battery dies when the camera lens is open (and you close it manually, or sometimes, even if you dont.)
2.) If you used a AC adapter with too much voltage or not enough. (this can happen even if you used the correct voltage, refrain from using AC adapters at all)
... all together its ethier a voltage or camera lens problem...

A/C adapter

The camera should be fully functional with just the AC adapter. I hope you're using the Olympus adapter and not a substitute. Some substitutes will work ok but others can cause problems. The AC adapter output should be 6.5 volts at 2000 ma (2 amps).
