Question about Lucent PARTNER18 Corded Phone

1 Answer

Setting the time

I have changed the time on the phone but as soon as a call comes in, the time advances 4 hours. My phone now says it's 4:35pm when really it's 12:35pm. I have followed the procedure but it changes every time someone calls. Help!

Yesterday, our phone lines were ported to our new T1 line. Could this have caused this issue? Our T1 was installed in August but the phone lines were just moved yesterday and the time was fine until I noticed it this morning.

Even though I still don't see it in the manual, get your T1 provider to adjust the time offset in the clock.

I'll bet that's what's causing the time reset.

This one's a puzzle because nothing through ACS 7.0 says anything at all about CID adjusting system time. If your outside lines are coming in via VoIP or SIP, it may be that the offset from the VoIP box is wrong, causing log errors. I don't have a clue how it is affecting the system time.

There is a new release for ACS R7 that syncs the time with the caller ID. If the local provider is sending the incorrect time on caller ID, this will cause the problem you are having.
