Sir,
I have Document Centre ColorSeries 50
In this machine Scanner is not working, in the Machine Display showing :

Error... the Fiery Server Interface timed out, please, check the Fiery.

Please help me

    It worked find yesterday but doesn't work today. Screen says check power source to printer server on back of main printer.

You have changed the color registration by cleaning the belt. The regicon series will have to be run.

Error 9-363


Try to clean the dev rotary sensor. open the upper right hand cover then there are two assy's to be removed also for you to access the rotary sensor located inboard side. this sensor senses the home position of rotary developer. to removed this sensor, you have to open the rear cover, then rotary pwb. some 9-363 code is due to busted fuse in the rotary pwb. Docucolor 12 no print


if its a print from system to machine do the following
1: check the cables from fiery to machine
2: press clear server in the fiery menu

its not ok
next time mention fiery model

Error Log Cannot store data of this size. Document Server


The document server portion of the copier not only has limitations to it but it has compatiblity problems with it as well when dealing with mulitiple pages. The SODIMM card could be set for 64mb on your copier and the buffer is too small to work with it. It doesn't work the same way as a fiery server does on todays copiers.

Ricoh tech support has told me there are three ways to use the scanner:

1) Scan to e-mail.
2) Scan to ftp server.
3) Scan to document server using a seperate PC as the server.
4) Scan to a local computer using Desktop Binder.

www.ricoh-usa.com has software to do 3 and 4. #1 can be setup by adding the smtp server to your copier in the file interface section by pressing the user tools/counter. You have to have the IP address to the smtp server in order to get it to work. You can contact your internet provider to get that.

Using the document on the copier is for temporary storage and isn't designed to handle big jobs to it as well. You can experience storage problems as well if your print server is full or you are storing faxes to the memory.

The memory can be updated to the copier as well. It can read a SO DIMM PC100 card up to 256 MB. It's an older memory module that they use on older notebook computers. You can get them at computer stores or get them through PNY.com.

Xerox Fiery Xp12 - Problem (INVALID LICENCE) apears on the screen


You will need to use what came with your machine.
The note from Xerox states this.

NOTE: You will need the Fiery Restore / Update Server Software CD and the User Documentation v2.0 CD that came with your EX12 v2.0 Software

And here is the loading process
  1. Visually check to make sure the Fiery LCD is at the Idle screen before you proceed. This will make sure the Fiery is not in use.
  2. Insert the Fiery Restore / Update Server Software CD into the Fiery EX12.
  3. Press [Menu] button on the Fiery Server.
  4. Press the [Down arrow] button.
  5. Press the [Shut Down] button.
  6. Press the [Reboot System] button. The message 'Rebooting System' will display and disappear after a few moments. The Fiery Server will reboot and complete internal testing. The Restore / Update CD menu will be displayed.

    NOTE: Ignore the message 'It's now safe to power off the system'.

  7. Press the [Up arrow] or [Down arrow] button to scroll to 'Restore System' so this is highlighted. Press the [OK] button. The 'All data will be Deleted. Continue?' message will be displayed.
  8. Press the [Up arrow] or [Down arrow] button to scroll to 'Yes' so this is highlighted. Press the [OK] button. The 'Restoring System...' message will be displayed.

    NOTE: The System Restore will take approximately 7 minutes, during this time the message 'Restoring System...' will continue to be displayed.

  9. Press the [OK] button when the 'Restore Complete!' message is displayed.
  10. Press the [Up arrow] or [Down arrow] button to scroll to 'Exit' so this is highlighted. Press the [OK] button.
  11. Remove Fiery Restore / Update Server Software CD from the EX12.
  12. Power OFF the Fiery Server. The power switch is located on the rear of the server, above the power cord.

    NOTE: Wait 10 seconds before powering ON.

  13. Power ON the Fiery Server. The Fiery Server will boot and complete a self-test.
  14. The EX12 will prompt you to insert the User Documentation CD. Insert the CD and the Fiery will continue with the process. When the process is complete, the Fiery LCD will display the message 'Please remove CD'.
  15. Remove the User Documentation CD
  16. Power OFF the Fiery Server. The power switch is located on the rear of the server, above the power cord.

    NOTE: Wait 10 seconds before powering ON.

  17. Power ON the Fiery Server. The Fiery Server will boot and complete a self-test.
  18. Using the Configuration Report as reference, re-enter the network settings on the EX12.
  19. Install any required patches, as needed. Refer to the Updated Information section on the Configuration Report.
  20. If needed, restore any data that you previously archived. See the Related Items.
