My washer will not drain and it makes a weird sound. I need a technician to come to my house. Do you know the nearest one available?

If there is a drain issue, sometimes there is an obvious solution. Check the drain hose for any kinks, as well as checking any lint filters in or on the drain hose. Is there a lint sock on the end that's full? Perhaps the drain line itself is plugged. You will want to make sure that the house drain system is not backed up or plugged. Always make sure that the washer drain hose is above the level of water in the drain tub. Some Whirlpool/Kenmore washers make use of a side-check valve near the tub outlet which may get clogged. A standpipe should be at least 1 1/4 inches in diameter, and never seal a drain hose into a standpipe. This can lead to back-siphoning. You also want to make sure that the standpipe is less than 96 inches in height. Pump problems show various symptoms. Sometimes the pump will lock up and seize. If the motor is running, it will continue to try to turn the pump. In the case of belt-driven pumps, the belt may break or burn through. The pulley may shear off. If there is enough tension on the belt, and the motor continues to try to turn it, you may wind up with a seized motor as well. The pump itself may have seized bearings, be jammed by clothing or another object; or the impeller blades may be broken off. The usual fix is to replace the pump.
If you think your pump may be jammed, drain out your tub and remove the hoses. Look inside the hoses and see if there are any obstructions. Feel around inside the pump inlets for anything that may be jamming the pump itself. You can also use long-nosed pliers to feel around inside the pump for any items that may be causing a jam. If you haven't found a jam, and you still believe there may be a jam in the pump, you can completely remove the pump from the washer and inspect it more closely.
Occasionally, transmission gears may become worn, or some other internal part may go bad. Some older washer models have an electric-mechanical shifter. If it won't shift, it's best to call a professional appliance repair person to address this issue. If your transmission is leaking oil, there are really only two options at this point, either run it until it dies completely, or replace it now.
A heavy wash load may cause some thumping sounds as a spin cycle starts, but if it continues, your load may be unbalanced. Open the washer and try to balance the load
Check to see if the washer is level from front to back, and from side to side. Check to see if the floor beneath the washer is sturdy and stable enough for the fully loaded washer. Is the load unbalanced? If your washer load is unbalanced, stop the washer, even the load out, and restart it.
An unbalanced load is the usual cause of this, but the leveling legs being extended very far can play into the washer walking around. Many times a front loading washer and dryer just seem to vibrate a lot. There is a fantastic product called Shakeaway that will really reduce vibrations and vibration noise
hope this helps you can equally the repair service directory at to locate the repair man nearest to you .
hope this helps appreciate by rating it .goodluck

I have a sumsung WF203ANQ/XAN front load wwasher and it will run throug all cycles except the last spin cycle. I have taken the hoses off the drain and I found a quarter in the hose, remove and check the pump the see if it was turning and it is free to movment...I put a metal pipe on the pump durning the spin cycle and put to my ear and could not even hear a hum. Is there a reset button on the pump and if not do i replace the whole pump and were do I order it from? Thank you, Tomi Cochran

I had the same problem. I took the pump out and completely apart. I shook it until all the fluids were out. It was full of some metallic looking fluid, as if there was metal grinding. I put it all back together and now it works, but the drain pump is pretty loud. Hopefully it will refill with fluid the next load I run and will become more quiet. If the motor dies, you can buy a replacement for $85 on eBay. Hope this helps!

Why would the drain pump on an LG top load washer would run continuoulsy?

Yes, that does sound like it is the control panel, as that would cause the machine to do weird random things as you are describing. The part should be available at or my favorite, Just type in the model number of your machine and diagrams, parts and prices will appear. Good luck, Dennis Wayne

Water continuously drains and fills, and never gets particularly high

You will need to check you washer drain hose and make sure it is only inserted into your house drain pipe in the wall no deeper than 4-6 inches, alternately your house drain needs to be as high as the top of the washer lid. Be sure to secure your drain line from the washer to one of the water shut off fittings with a zip tie. You are most likely experiencing a siphon action because the washer hose is inserted too deep in the house drain. Pleazer Appliance...

Dryers don't use water, washing machines do, so it's probably the washer.

If the dryer is drying, then it's not moisture.

Check the house drain for the washer, watch it drain and make sure it's not backing up, check the drain hose.

You may have a broken or jammed drain pump and it needs a technician to disassembly the pump to see if the pump needs to be replaced or remove the debris inside it. Good luck

It sounds like the color wheel has failed and will need to be replaced. I would recommend calling a technician to do this job. You can call 1-800-samsung to find the nearest service center.

WF448AAP Drain hose short, door swings to left, washer on right?

plumbing in the wall is usually placed according to where your unit is going to be placed,..not the case here as i/you can see, should be able to get a piece of hose (from private appliance store) and an "insert coupling" (has little "barbs" on it so it stays put after you clamp it) and make your extension,...don't make it to long or to tight, you don't want tension on the hose, sit this "custom repair" to insure it dosn't leak, ya know, watch a couple loads go thru it's cycle,......if you can't get this happening, you can have the drain in the wall moved,....not a big job if your drain is plastic. good luck.
