Question about Epson 2580 Perfection Photo Scanner
I have re-downloaded drivers from the European site and installed patch esuf41e.exe. I still get error message 'can not properly communicate with scanner. When the scanner is powered up the green light turns to red flashing. I have followed instructions for the patch.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Try this as a last ditch effort. Remove the software. Reboot the computer and come off line. Disable the Anti Virus program. Now install the soft ware. Then try. If the red light still flashes then assume it is new scanner time.

SOURCE: how to scan a slide
Have a look here:
This is the quick reference card that would have been supplied with the scanner, scroll through the information to page 5 which tells you how to scan film or slides.

hi there, it may be that Epson hasn't developed drivers compatible with your system. My suggestion is to try it on another computer that has windows and see if it works. If so, go on Safari and type in Epson Perfection 2400 Photo Flatbed scanner drivers and see what comes up on Epson's website.
