Question about DISH Network ViP622 DVR DTV Receiver / 180-Hours Video Recorder
My dvr is recording to tv's 1 and 2 however all of the sudden my tv 2, in the bedroom, remote will not working on that tv. It only will show what is playing on tv 1. Also we have another dual dvr in the back of the house and when it is set to record it records on all 4 tvs. The two it is connected to and the two I am having problems with. What is going on? Thanks
The receiver is more than likely in single mode. Go to the receiver and ensure the green and blue lights are both on. If not press the door on the right of the receiver and press the mode button until the amber light illuminates closest to the green light. If it will not do this you can press the front panel power button and see if that will allow you to be able to do so , if not try unplugging the unit from the electrical receptacle for thirty seconds and try again. if these fail you will need a service call to have the receiver replaced.
As for the other receiver recording on all four tv's I can not answer that as I do not know the cabling system at your home and whether there are switches etc. It is really an issue that needs to be addressed with more specifics as to all hardware in the system or dealt with by a technician.
I will be more than happy to troublleshoot this for you if you can tell me the other receiver type and if there are any switches in the system and what type of dish you have e.g. 1000.2, Super Dish, or a two dish solution.
Hope to hear from you soon.

SOURCE: I want to record shows
The dvr , of which model you haven't said it, doesn't care where it is and what program is set to record; all it cares is to be connected to a source of signal and, if necessary, to be tuned to the channel in question.
So, if your dvr doesn't have 2 tuners or even a single correct/sattelite one , it will have to be connected directly to the receiver that receives the program you want to record - the one on the bedroom.

Tips for a great answer:

Hi Tracy, my name is Mike Houston a Social Media Representative at DISH. With the TV2 remote working for both TVs, you will want to make sure the TV1 input on the receiver is connected to the TV cable (RCA or Coax cable) and TV2 input is connected to TV2 port on the back of the receiver. I will provide you our link explaining in more detail about connections. If you have any further questions I will provide you my e-mail; email@example.com.
