I have and I readed the manual, I’m doing everything right.
In fully automatic mode (P), select the definition: basic, normal, fine, hi
(tiff), and should appear Raw, as it did in the past, but now it stops in hi??

Most digital cameras have modes which allow only certain resolutions and when set to various settings.
Each setting can affect the way the camera reacts.
Read your manual, if you do not have one, then download it from Nikon.
Nearly every digital camera made today has online access for free download of the various items such as manuals, software, and drivers.
I know that some digital camera makers are skimpy on their downloads and information.
Nikon and Canon are two companies which are very good on support.

Why am I no longer able to set my 60D camera to take RAW formatted pcitures

Hi,
In order to select RAW mode, first check if your camera is in either Manual(M)/(A)/(AV)/(Ev) modes. Then go to setting-picture format-RAW/RAW+Basic.
In order to edit the RAW picture, you need to update the RAW version if you are using Adobe Photoshop for editing your pictures.

Thank you!

Why does my brand new Canon 6D freeze when shooting in RAW

The question in the title and the first sentence imply to me that you have confused manual mode and RAW format.

Title: "Why does my brand new Canon 6D freeze when shooting in RAWD freeze when shooting in RAW"

First sentence: "My brand new Canon 6D freezes when I try to shoot in manual."

Manual mode means you are responsible for all of the settings related to exposure (aperture, ISO, and shutterspeed). RAW is a specific file format to save the photo. They are independent of each other.

My guess is that in manual mode you have the shutterspeed set to the maximum of 30 seconds. The camera isn't going to automatically adjust it for you in manual mode. If you're new to DSLRs, start with Ae (Aperture priority) or Tv (Shutter priority). In Ae mode, you control the aperture and the camera will select the shutterspeed. In Tv mode, you select the shutterspeed and the camera selects the aperture for you. Start off with Auto ISO. This will help you learn what combinations of settings work well together.

Bought dlux2 but can't change from raw mode in menu to jpeg. Dont see anynjpeg/raw choice on menu.

The picture quality setting is in the REC mode menu. Your four choices are TIFF, JPEG Fine, JPEG Standard, and RAW. See the "Quality" section in the manual (page 74 in my copy). If you need a manual, you may download a copy here.

Olympus 500UZ I set the camera at SQ which I took to mean Super Quality . I need a s high a pixel count as possible ,how do I increase it to the maximum?

You should defenately use RAW or SQH mode for better quality.

Look at page 27 - 29 in your user manual how to set your cameras mode.

In case you do not have a users manual clik at this link.

How can I adjust the settings so I can shoot in RAW mode?

If you're asking how to adjust the settings to shoot in RAW mode, then I suspect you are not ready to shoot that way. Read your instruction manual, go on Google and enter how to use RAW mode on a digital camera for some tutorials on the technique and then try it.

Can you make camera setting changes for raw in the Nikon D300 menu

To change to raw - push menu, then settings - image quality - select Raw - push ok. You're done. Raw ignores many of the other image settings, such as WB, Picture mode (Vivid, etc..); It does however pay attention to exposure compensation.

My canon EOS 40D with 18 - 55 IS , when continuous shooting mode is selected, slows down after taking 6 shots. However as per the spec its capable of taking 75 jpegs or 17 RAW images. Please resolve this...

Slow down after taking 6 RAW files ...
A RAW file is Approx. 12.4MB.
The memory usage is approx. 74,4 MB
The internal memory (Buffer) has a size for up to 75 JPEG compressed images.

Which size has the smallest jpg?
JPEG/Small: Approx. 1.2MB (1,936 x 1,288)
The Buffer is approx. 80 MB.

The data are calculated under Canons laboratory conditions.

The maximum Burst (the 17 shoots) means that the camera is writing to the card and the buffer is full. Than the cam will stopping taking pictures.

Which kind of Card do you use?
Check the spec for the card (write speed) and maybe buy a faster card.

RAW quality mode option

In the RAW mode, the image is compiled of raw data with no compression and no enhancing settings from the camera such as sharpness, contrast etc. It provides a higher dynamic range with the maximum image quality without being processed, so the user can apply his/her own changes to the file. The file will have a .ORF (Olympus Raw File) extension. It can be read using a supplied PhotoShop Plug-in or the Olympus Camedia 2.5 program.
