I tried to hard reset but all I am getting after the confirmation to reset is the Access Powered screen and it does nothing after that.

Same problem, but the Hard-reboot does nothing. It asks to delete all data, then reboots in a loop.

My phone constantly has the same problem of turning itself on and off. This is the 2nd time I've had to do a Hard/Master Reset on this phone. The problems just keep coming back. There doesn't seem to be an end to this aside from getting a brand new phone, however with economy the way it is I feel hesitant to splurge. So if there are any other suggestions please post I'd really appreciate it.

There is a soft/warm reset which bypassed the loop without losing your data.  press the up key and reinstall your battery.  do not let go until the palm screen fully loads. when fully reloaded let go.  sounds a little confusing but the palm website has step by step instructions.

There are multiple reasons for the phone to go into an endless loop.

Fix #1 - Soft Reset - Take out the battery. On the back of your phone, pop the cover off, remove battery, place battery back in and it will show each screen once and power on normally.

Fix #2 - Hard Reset - To do a hard reset, hold the power button while you replace the battery and then release it when the Palm logo appears.

Fix #3 - Hammer

As for the corrupted data from your contacts, try PDB database repair.

No, you have to delete the data. I had the same issue and the only way to get out of the loop was to reset the phone completely and restore a backup.

I use NVBackup to save everything to my SD. It was a simple matter to reload and so far so good. I suspect it might have been the several calls I received over the Airave while at home. Will keep an eye on it and see what happens.

The hard reset does solved the problem but if I synchronize my contacts etc.. from my pc, the phone has the same problem again.
so the phone does work after a hard reset but when u sync it messup the phone again. I suspect some files is corrupting the phone or something. I had to export the vcard (contacts) then open it on my second computer with a clean palm desktop installation then sync the phone. I wonder why this problem is widespread.

Nokia 820 screen is frozen

Is the screen frozen on an app? If yes, have you tried to reboot the phone? If holding down the power button for 12 seconds doesn't bring up an option to 'slide down to power off', try pressing the volume down button and the power button at the same time, and hold them for 12 seconds. If that doesn't reboot the phone, you should be able to remove the back and take the battery out, count to 12, and replace the battery to reboot it.

My Samsung Galaxy Infuse won't turn on or charge.... it just keeps flashing the Samsung screen and then the Roger's screen. Is it my phone, or my battery that needs fixing?

Have you tried a hard reboot? Hold down the power button, don't click on anything on that screen that pops up, just keep holding the button down until it reboots on it's own.....

I just powered on my Droid 2, but it isn't loading correctly. It has been on for over half an hour, but the screen is still showing just the droid "red eye" thingy. What do I do?

Sounds like its bricked. You can try to do a factory reset. 1. Turn Droid 2 Off by pulling battery.

2. Press 'X' on the physical keyboard and then Press and HOLD Power button until the Exclamation Point/Android picture shows(after motorola symbol).

3. To access menu options Press the "Search" button depicted by the Magnifying glass on the Keyboard and the menu items will show up.

4. Use the Volume Down key and select the "wipe data/factory reset "option with the Camera button all on side.

5. After thats finished, reboot the phone

When I install my battery I get the Access Powered then Palm.

I have a Treo 700wx with very similar problem that I solved by starting a hard reset by holding down red button while inserting the battery... keep button down until the message comes asking if you are sure you want to do a hard reset.... I hit the space bar to abort it and IT STARTED UP normally ... worth a try... good luck.

Nothing happens on my dash

First make sure your phone is fully charged. Then check...
It may be the storage card - if you take the storage card out it will boot up and you can put it back in. - pain in the a## but it may work. Or Try taking the SIM card out, boot it up, turn it off, replace the card, and turn it on again.
Last resort is a hard reboot. If you did a hard reboot and nothing happened then you did not do it successfully. To do a hard reboot.

- with the phone powered off
- press the two soft keys, yes the left and right soft keys which are the two dash keys labeled - -
- while keeping it pressed, press the power button down
- keep the power button pressed down for 1 - 2 seconds and then release the power button while still holding down the two soft keys. Keep holding down the soft keys until a black screen appears and prompts appear
- now release the soft keys and follow prompts
- if you dont see the black screen with the reset option, pull the battery out, reinsert it and repeat the above steps
- when you see the black screen with the reset option, press the Send button to confirm the reset.
