Picture Pixels are related to CCD Imager and data processing circuits in camera.
Want more picture pixels, buy new model camera having more pixels capability.

Can't get a 2MB image. What am I doing Wrong?

Jpg images use a form of compression. If the camera sees an area that is all white for instance, it knows that that one white pixel is the same as those around it and doesn't need all the information. This reduces the size. If you have highest res and superfine compression the only other thing you can is increase physical size if the camera has that choice, or buy a Canon Rebel or Nikon D90 :>)

My Kodak Easyshare DX7630 no longer takes 6.1 megapixel images!

This happens all the time.

Don't confuse pixels with bytes. JPEG files are compressed so as to tale less disk space. 1.5 to 2MB is just about right for 6MP pictures.

Photographs always come into photoshop at 72dpi. how do I increase this so photographs come in at 300dpi?

Forget 72dpi. Photoshop opens the picture in 100%.
1 pixel on the monitor is one pixel from the camera.
300dpi is only relevant when making prints, where 300dpi is the highest quality you can get from a lab.
The smaller the print, the more dots you get per inch.

Want Increase resolution from 72dpi to 200 dpi

increase in dpi will not increase the resolution. dpi = dots per inch for example you have a res of 1024x768 at 72dpi you get a printed image of 14.2x10.6 inch at 300dpi you get a printed image of 3.4x2.5 inch
only thing possible is to interpolate the image. but thats **** in my opinion.

Pixel problem, all pictures taken have poor pixel resolution

It sounds like you set the file settings to a small file size - perhaps in order to get more photos on a single memory card. You need to change the setting to the largest file size possible, at the highest quality. The steps for this will be in your manual. If you need detailed instructions and don't have your manual, let me know and I'll lookup your manual online.

My pictures are too big to load

You have two options:

First: use a picture management software to resize the pictures to a smaller resolution such as 640x480 pixels.

Second: reduce resolution on camera. The smallest resolution possible is 1024x768 on L200.
To do so in your Samsung L200, press Fn button. Then scrool up or down until you see SIZE on-screen. Press button to right until 1M appears, then press OK.

How do I increase the dpi on TZ5

Hi - When talking about resolution in digital photography there are two main meanings.
One is the "pixel count resolution" and the other "embedded resolution". So for example your camera could record 2272*1704 as the actual pixel count resolution and set 72 as the embedded resolution that tells other software (for example photoshop) what the intended use of the picture will be. 72 ppi is the default for web pictures. You can change this in photoshop by going to the "Image" tab & select image size. The window that opens will show you the pixel dimensions i.e. pixel count resolution and the document size & resolution 72. You just change it in your software to 300 for printing. In Photoshop you can change the default to 300 by going "edit", "preferences", "units & rulers" and setting the values for "new document preset resolutions".

So for your camera the embedded resolution is 180 which you can only change in your PC software.

This is a complex subject, I recommend looking at the following web page:

How can I store more pictures in the camera?

The standard 2MB internal flash memory stores either 60 standard resolution images or 30 high resolution images. EPSON Accessories offers the PhotoSpan 2MB memory module (A882401) which increases picture storage to 65 high resolution or 130 standard resolution images. The PhotoSpan 4MB memory module (A882411) makes it possible to take 100 high resolution or 200 standard resolution images.
