Question about Televison & Video
Just remember one thing; as soon as I power on the TV it goes off by itself within 5s. I can't have the TV menu at all.
I can only adjust the CRT voltage one CRT at a time. Let's say if I want to adjust the voltage for the Red CRT. (I have to open the front of the TV and unplug the Green and the Blue CRT Boards.)
Then if I power on the TV with only the RED CRT, the TV stays up and I can adjust the voltage until the lines disappear.
Then so on for The BLUE on, and after then The GREEN.
BUT, if after the one by one adjustment is done and I hook back all 3 CRTs at power up the TV turn itself back off.
Note: I have the service manual, in detail I have the 4 books:
KP-51WS500 KP-57WS500 KP-65WS500 chassis RA-6 Color Rear Video Projector SONY:
1- Correction and Supplement
3- Parts List
I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks!
I think problem is in Protection circuit itself. Protection seems unstable in your tv that's why it doesn't give you chance to diagnose problem.
Try to isolate protection command and check tv.
Its an idea and hopefully it will work.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
