Question about Amana 22.6 cu. ft. Side-By-Side Refrigerator with FrontFill Ice and Water
I have an Amana model ASD262RHRS and I already disconnected 3 days ago, when I connected again, started working perfectly. Yesterday I noticed that the top section of the freezer is not send air to it, so my refrigerator section is warm again. The bottom section is working perfectly. How can I check for the fan or the defrosting panel, because the back panel doesn't look like it can come out.
I just had a similar problem, and the bottoms of both sides were cold but the top shelves were warm. I found that the condenser fan, the fan right above the cooling coils was not working. This fan circulates the cold air and if it's not working it can't move the cold air to the top or over to the refrigerator side. Open the freezer door and press the switch that tells the computer the door is closed (so the light goes out), if the fan doesn't come on shortly, or only sputters that could be the problem....about $55 to replace. As you take it apart, be sure to take some digital pics of the process so you can remember how it goes back together!

Sounds like a bad defrost thermostat, , unit not "self defrosting"
