Hi,
Please reset the unit once by unplugging the power cable of the device.
and also mail me the brand name and the type of your device, so that i can give you the exact solution.
This is often the electronic control card, or motor relay, but it is often worth unplugging and reseting any component connector plugs and sockets, as they can work loose, and low-level electronic sensors rely on good connections. Pay particular attention to any plug and socket that looks corroded, burnt, brown, or otherwise discolored compared with the rest. High resistance contacts can create intermittent faults, and cause high current parts of the machine to stop working (e.g. heating elements, or motors) Pull off any suspect plug/socket, and clean the contacts with a small file or emery board . Try above steps hopefully it should work. Thank you........

Before testing the timer motor, unplug the dishwasher or shut off the power at the fuse boxor breaker panel to avoid an electrical shock hazard.
The timer motor regulates the length of time power is routed to each component. If the timer motor does not function properly, it can result in a wide range of problems. Common symptoms include sticking in a cycle, cycle times problem or failure of the dishwasher to start at all.

      window.google_render_ad();

To service the timer motor, it is necessary to access the control panel in the door. Access varies by model; on some models you can remove just the control panel on others you must remove the interior or exterior panel of the door.

Remove the trim panels in front of the center console. Locate the engine computer attached to a floor-mounted bracket on the transmission tunnel between the console and the firewall.

  • Turn the diagnostic mode selector, located in a round opening on the side of the engine computer, until it stops. Observe the small red and green LED lights on the side of the computer next to the mode selector. They will flash to indicate the modes, with a pause between each mode. One quick flash is mode one, two quick flashes is mode two and so on. When the light flashes indicate mode three, quickly turn the mode selector counterclockwise until it stops. You have entered mode three diagnostics.

The 'Start' & 'Pause' LED's will flash together to indicate the error code. You have to count the flashes within each 15 second period to get that error code. The start and the pause LED's will flash together at 1Hz (i.e 1 flash per second) within that 15 second time frame, then will continue and show again within another 15secs and so on.

    1 Flash = Interlock fault
    2 Flashes = Fill time-out
    3 flashes = Drain time-out
4 flashes = Overfill fault presure pipe blocked
    5 flashes = NTC error
6 flashes = faulty control board
    7 flashes = Motor jammed
    8 flashes = Tacho fault
9 flashes = Motor triac on module board
10 flashes = Prog Selector or wiring fault

PF Power failure "PF" flashes if the washer loses power during a running cycle. The washer does not flash "PF" when it is first plugged in.

Press START to continue the cycle from the moment that power was lost.

    Clean light flashing

this is a safety failure of the unit not heating the water properly. if you push the " water heat, air dry, water heat, air dry" in that order, then it will go into the program mode and clear out that failure code.
then try the unit again, if you open the door during the heat cycle or it doesnt heat properly it will happen again. make sure you have hot enough water, 120 degrees, going to the unit and dont open the door after you start the cycle. if it continues call sears for service as it has a 1 year warranty.

How to remove the washer cycle selection/start-stop knob on a Whilpool Heavy Duty Thin Twin stacked washer dryer

I believe the selector knob on a Whirpool just has to be turned counter-clockwise with the selector pushed in. It will spin off the shaft and then the outer indicator dial will pull off. The shaft also has a keyed slot that will only allow the dial to be removed and installed one way, so there should be no question as to how it goes back on.

Was there a reason as to why you are removing the washer selector knob? If this is a simple matter of replacing a broken water temperature selector, you shouldn't have to remove any of the control knobs to gain access to the selector. The entire front panel comes off by removing the screws holding it in place. That way you can access the broken selector from behind the front panel much easier. Just remove the panel right above the washer top (under the dryer) and it should expose the front panel mounting screws. Remove these screws and the front panel comes off. Just make sure the unit is unplugged before you begin. I hope this helps you. Let me know if you need further assistance.
