NO SERVICE it indicates no service immediatly after powering

    When power is turn on phonen indercates ni service.

    I try the sim card in another phone and its ok.

Its either the sim card or the phone is it was the sim it appears to have been switched off or never activated or if its the phone the imei my be block on the HLR

I have nokia 5130 and my service provider is vodafone. When I try to save the settings what I receive from vodafone, I get the message, "Verfication failed. Settings will be discarded". What does...

sure you talk about internet settings just call to vodafone or go to closeup center of them and tell them about the problem

What does the G on the display indicate

It indicates that you are receiving GSM service and/or GPRS service. GSM is only voice calls and text msgs. GPRS would handle any data such as WAP and/or internet traffic.

sir please download the gprs settings by contacting the customer care of your service provider and after instantiation the settings restart your mobile and your problem will be recovered

Phone indicates connection, but won't make or receive calI.

My phone does this as well. Just because it shows service doesnt mean it has service. If you are in an area that has spotty service trying going to a place you know to have perfect service and try again. If the problem persists call ATT and they should help you through the problem.

Your service books are corrupted.Ask your service provider to send service books,even then if you are not able to see the message icon then reintegrate that particular email account from your device or from your service provider website.Then reboot your device after recieveing the service books or reintegrating the email account,

switch off the phone immediatly...remove batteries...and let it aside for a week....then try connecting them..if u still have the same problem..turn u mobile in to a local SE service station
