I have to reset my Linkeys wireless 54 G three today

Hi and welcome to FixYa!

Here are the steps to reset your router.

Turn router around;

Find the small pinhole usually located by the power cord;

Stick something like a paperclip in it and press down firmly for 1 minute;

wait until you see the lights blink and then go out;

Then; unplug the power cord from router for about half a minute;

Then, plug it back in.

This is the only way it will finalize resetting and it takes away your encryption;

resets your network name back to Linksys.

Let me know how this worked out for you. If my solution helped you, please rate this solution!
It doesn't cost anything and only takes a second, but it is greatly appreciated.

Linksys WRT350N Connection Problem and Power Light Flashing.

Are you trying to set up the router ? For this you don't need to use Linksys Easy link advisor. Easy links advisor has bugs in it. If you call the Linksys tech support, they will also not help you for Easy link advisor. All you need to do is, open the router set up page and check the settings of the router. according to the settings on the router, you can connect the new device to the network. is ther any computer connected to the router? use that cmputer to open the router set up page.

Hi Munsifb,

It seems that you might be experiencing a problem with either the firware used in the router or that there is some hardware based problem in the router in itself. Try these possible solutions to see if helps solve your issue:

Possible Solution 1: Upgrading of Firmware

1. Find the exact model of your wireless router
2. Follow the link provided and instructions on the page: http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/wireless/linksys/

Possible Solution 2: Replacement of Hardware

1. Your router might have a physical defect, and therefore it is advisable that you send it in for repair (if still under warranty) to cisco service centre.

I hope the above information helped. Please do let me know if there are other queires regarding this. Also, pls remeber to vote for me if you find this solution useful. Thank you.

Regards,

Technomancer

I lost the pass word for my Linksys. how do I get

You will have to reset the router itself. On the back of the router is a reset button, it will return the router to its factory original settings. You will have to reconfigure it according to your previous settings.

Simple power outage and I get no signal or internet connection.No lights on router.

First, the obvious: If the router is directly plugged into a wall jack, make sure the breaker for that outlet isn't tripped. If the router is plugged into a power strip or UPS try shutting these off and resetting them.

As to the router itself: Unplug the router from the wall jack/power strip/UPS for a minimum of 30 seconds. Make sure the modem you are linked to has been rebooted and then plug in the router power. It should reboot itself.

If it still fails to do so, I suggest you contact Linksys for further troubleshooting.

After successful instn of my linksys wireless router i cannot access to wireless online connection

Whenever you connect a different device to the cable/DSL modem the modem itself must be reset. Dont even waste a phone call to linksys. Its useless.

If you are using DSL depending on your ISP you may have to enter your account info into the router's PPoE section

Cable users should have the router set to "Obtain IP aadress automatically"

Use the reset button on the back of the router and start from scratch.
Unplug the cable/DSL modem power
Hook up your router WAN/Internet to the Cable/DSL modem Ethernet/LAN jack
Power on the Cable/DSL Modem first, wait about a minute, then power on the router.

Lost wireless connection

if:

if the power light is blinking, a little bad news because the router is now showing a sign of defectivity, a firmware upgrade could be a solution.

you may try to reset it this way:

Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds, once you reach the 25th seconds, unplug the power then put it back in right on the 30 second, then release the reset button, wait for another 20 seconds then unplug the power from the router, after around 5-10 seconds plug it back in.
